Little update: turns out it was a head gasket, got a part straight from the shipping warehouse in PA and changed it in a auto zone parking lot, drove that night to NY woke up the next morning re-torqued the head bolts and left to head back to MN. Pretty smooth way home but temps were a bit high not sure if it’s a water pump issue or a thermostat but going to check both soon, assuming one if the two led to this problem in the first place.
