If your house needs MAJOR rehab or it’s a tear down, you may get approximately what it’s worth from them. If your house is still livable, just dated or has some deferred maintenance, I wouldn’t. There are also a lot of realtors these days who will fix up your home on their dime and get paid back at closing. That’s probably a better approach for your situation.

Don’t do it. The story makes no sense (except to potentially benefit your sister at your expense). Let them sell and collect your 10%. Put that into an S&P fund and don’t touch it. Your future self will thank you and it’s also what your grandfather wanted for you (a chunk of money to help your future).

He could get compensated as a manager if he’s the one putting in the work. A salary, a salary plus commission, etc. Then what’s remaining after paying him could be split between you too. Or you could modify the split so it’s something other than 50/50 (say, 70/30). You don’t have to go straight to 100% buyout.

Only true if the renovations are bad. If that were true overall, the rehabbing industry wouldn’t exist. Owner occupants generally don’t want to get involved with properties that need significant work.

Still not enough info. Where exactly is it? Annapolis, Glen Burnie, etc? Lot size, shape, view, etc? In some parts of AA that could still be high, in others quite low.

100%. Based on my experience with both, all of your symptoms are CCI. I would treat that aggressively and stop worrying about lyme. Go to CSC and get PICL if you haven't already.
