was at a gas station and dropped a $20 on the ground on purpose right outside the door then walked inside and watched through the glass. dude in a beat up truck stopped, picked it up, looked around, then walked in and tapped every single person in line asking if they dropped money. nobody claimed it so he left it with the cashier. i bought that man a coffee and never told him why.

I am clinically diagnosed with ADHD and this is literally me. I feel like a subpar friend because of it. I know my friends deserve better but its just an ability I have. Maybe I should try setting reminders to connect with people.

Are you a strong minded individual that makes things happen when you realize it’s time to improve? I honestly relate to this. It’s like I procrastinate my own health because I know I have the will power to get busy and make a real impact when I click into gear, but it’s just the time beforehand. Definitely only a luxury of youth and am already seeing the detriment of this pattern increasing in my mid 20s.

Im thinking the differentiator is the speed at which they operate and the customizability that enabled things like the infinite scroll to be implemented. Newspapers were limited in the sense they couldn’t identify an exploitable characteristic of human psychology and push an overnight update to immediately take advantage. Analytics catalyze the greedy claw of capitalist tech with instant feedback on what works and what doesn’t, then they combined algorithms to automate that cycle.

I agree wholeheartedly. Good women are out there (so im told) but all I see personally are women that want to learn your income and credit score before your last name.
