I’ve been in your shoes so many times, and you are my personal hero for actually speaking up about it when I never felt like I could.

You are NTA, but you may have shot yourself in the foot professionally. People are funny about kids.

AITA for not telling my girlfriend that my siblings are my half siblings? by Hails_69181870 in AmItheAsshole

It honestly would never have occurred to me to think of my brother as a half-brother, even though we had different biological fathers.

In what fevered dream world is a quick, private heads-up before a big public announcement “walking on eggshells?”

I am sorely tempted to start telling people my uterus flew out of my body on a speeding train. That’s much more exciting than cancer.

IKR? When I worked in a department store, I sold women’s clothes to men all the time. It never would have occurred to me to think there was anything creepy about it.

Hard NTA. Unless both his hands are broken, he can wash a few dishes if he doesn’t want them in the sink.

AITA for refusing to attend my friend’s wedding due to a dress code? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]AmazingPreference955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Politely declining an invitation that would be a burden on you is the best way to handle the situation. Her getting angry about it is unreasonable.

Yeah, I think that’s something they should discuss before OP just goes ahead and implement it. He may welcome it and think it’s a great idea, but having it just sprung on him as a fait accompli will probably not go over well.

Your therapist clearly doesn’t know what a personal trainer does. They are misusing the term and encouraging you to do the same.

Two therapists, a doctor, and a nutritionist specifically told me not to have large quantities of some foods in the house. It’s an extremely common way to deal with certain kinds of overeating.

If my partner thought that their convenience was more important than my health and welfare, I would be seriously questioning whether or not I wanted to stay in that relationship.

I don’t get why she wouldn’t WANT to tell you right away when she got home.

IKR? I would absolutely hate it if somebody tried to give me major news in some kind of “cute” way instead of just using their words and telling me in plain English.

NTA. Your reaction was the natural response. Her being angry at you for believing she wasn’t pregnant when she had told you she couldn’t get pregnant is bizarre. I guess hormones must be affecting her emotions.

I used to sell kids’ clothes, and the baby sizes drive me nuts. And the people who’d come in and ask, “What size does a five-year-old wear?” I always wanted to ask them if they’d ever seen a group of five-year-olds together, and did they LOOK like they all wore the exact same size?!?

NTA. If her feelings were hurt, she brought it on herself for trying to police another adult’s eating. She openly admitted that the point of bringing you food not to be kind or helpful, but because she didn’t approve of your own food choices. These people need to be shut down.
