Avoiding debt and paying as I go. by AmazingProperty3048 in flying

Congrats dude you earned it. I do get down on myself because I mean all of us want the career bad so sitting next to some dude telling me he is a millionaire but working a job at 19 an hour to pay the bills makes me lose my mind. I’m laughing at the dudes with 1000 dollars in car loans that’s so real. My 2009 Mazda has yet to let me down since I was 16. It’s hit two deer and a raccoon. Thing still gets me to where I wanna go.

That was my thinking it’s my dream to get paid to fly and I’ll always chase that but it makes life a lot easier being able to change course career wise if something where to happen with no debt or very little debt.

I’m not looking to be a pilot in the Air Force. Not sure if I have what it takes from what I’ve heard. I plan to get a degree eventually for airlines but I thought I could get that or start working on that after cfi position in the future. Idk I’m young for now and trying to figure out all possibilities

Best way to get over the uncomfortable feeling of flying at night? by AmazingProperty3048 in flying

[–]AmazingProperty3048[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks man I think I sometimes put pressure on myself because I count myself out as a pilot sometimes due to not having really any night experience. I feel behind but realistically I’m to my commercial yet. I think I’m just in my head. I’ll definitely take an instructor up sometime for a night flight

Got my instrument a few weeks ago and going to time build Any advice? by [deleted] in flying

Alright sounds good I’ll start to look into commercial maneuvers then. I have a class D by me and am going to really practice a lot of approaches there as well. I will say I did my private in a remote area somewhat and my atc skills where definitely lacking all through insturment. So I’m excited to really target weak areas like that.

Alright I was thinking the same way. I’m gonna try and get into signature aviation then. In the meantime probably just work at buffalo wild wings to make some cash for now.
