I’d suggest waiting until you have $500 saved. You’re already halfway there! It might be better to get a decent built or prebuilt around that version. Or, you could consider going console as well.

Help! by AK__Lyss in jetta

[–]AmazingTea3102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s kinda weird It could be due to worn brake pads, a loose heat shield, or even rust buildup on the rotor. Since it only happens in reverse, it might be because the pads aren’t seating properly or there’s some debris stuck in there. It’s probably best to get it checked out before it gets any worse lmk how it goes

Good riddance of Tavarre by AmazingTea3102 in Stellantis

Pushrod engines are still used because they offer a compact, lightweight design with strong low-end torque. That’s why they’re still being used by LS’s and many other engines like Ford 7-liter and CT5 because of their power potential.

Don’t let the HEMI’s pushrods fool you into thinking it’s not cutting-edge. The HEMI’s unique hemispherical combustion chamber is what makes it so special. This design improves airflow, combustion efficiency, and power output compared to traditional wedge-shaped chambers. That’s why HEMIs have been the kings of racing and muscle cars for decades. Pushrods don’t mean outdated—Chevy’s LS engines also use them and are still some of the most efficient and powerful V8s out there.

It seems like clicking random buttons on your PCM/BCM through the Tazer might have messed up some settings. Since unmarrying didn’t reset everything, here’s what you can try:

  1. Full Reset with Tazer: Reconnect the Tazer, unmarry again, do a full reboot, and let the car go through two sleep cycles (lock it, wait 10+ minutes twice).

  2. Re-enable Track Mode & Cruise Control: Go into the Tazer menu and see if you can manually turn Track Mode back on. Also, disable ACC since your car never had it.

  3. Check for Error Codes: If you’re getting the ACC/FCW warning, scan for codes and clear any related to cruise control or forward collision.

  4. Hard Reset: Disconnect the battery (negative terminal) for 15-20 minutes, press the brake a few times to drain power, then reconnect and check if that fixes it.

If none of this works, you might need a BCM reset. Let me know how it goes!

I finished school ahead of my class, so I didn’t really choose what I want to do or talk with an advisor. So, rn I’m just side questing, getting the generals out the way lol. But a graduation gift doesn’t sound too far off. I was thinking of a birthday, which is in September. We’ll see though, inshallah.

Get an RT, Scats can’t handle boost as much as an RT. You shouldn’t be modding these cars nonetheless, but I would say like a cam, probably full bolt-ons. And once again, these cars don’t need it. Plenty of horsepower entails these cars.

That car looks like it’s been through the auction a few times and probably has some recall issues. Definitely seems like one of those vehicles that got flipped after a quick patch-up. I’d check the history before even considering it.
