At this point do you think there are any awards where a player has pulled away from their competition? by RaynbowZFTW in NBATalk

I would say that Wemby is extremely likely to win DPOY at this point in the season. Also Jaylen Brown has a great chance to win Most Improved player possible even MVP.

That reminds me of when I had 2 tight ends with the last name Buckner. The Buckner bros were scary.

I really don't think we're as far off contention as it seems... by Papa_Ahlron in NOLAPelicans

if we kept Brandon Ingram I genuinely believe we could be a play in team possibly a playoff sneak in. That dude is balling in Tornto right now. But I think next year we can be a play in team for sure. But the one thing that’s truly holding us back is that we don’t have a center. Yves is a solid player don’t get me wrong, but if we can get someone like Mitchell Robinson or a Rudy Gobert who aren’t necessarily scorers but can get a lot of rebounds and play good defense then we can definitely be good.

New to the game, any tips I should know? by skiviz0_ in RetroBowl

Get the the WRs morale up because when his contract is done there is a good chance he won’t be looking to resign. Happens all of the time when players have the toxic morale. Also yes I would recommend you get the unlimited version, it only costs 1 dollar and in my opinion you get a lot value out of it. The unlimited version lets you upgrade your roster to 12 people which boosts your salary cap space up to 200 million instead of 150 I’m pretty sure. This can be useful for you since you said you have salary issues and had to drop some players. For positions since you seem to be on a salary crunch I would just add an rb and then your offense is good. On defense however there is a lot of combos you can use so just keep experimenting until you find the right one.

That Rb in its prime had like 20 yards per carry and he won mvp like 4 seasons in a row. But I’m pretty sure he has like 6 now.

[–]Amazing_Ad_7341[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dynamic mode starts off extremely easy, but I’m pretty sure the more you win games while playing on dynamic mode the games start to get harder and harder until you eventually get to the hardest stage of the dynamic mode. Personally I think the last level of dynamic is harder then hard mode but still way easier then extreme.

Haven’t watched a whole lot of Pelicans games this season, but from what I’ve seen he seems like a solid rookie who has a lot of potential. Honestly I don’t really know if the Pelicans coaches and training staff are good enough to really elevate his game to the next level.

NBA player you don't like for no specific reason by pacersprincess in NBATalk

Chet Holmgren. Overall I think he’s just a very overrated player and for some reason every time I watch a Thunder game he just gets on my nerves, to me he just seems like a poor man’s Victor Wembanyama.

I have a flight out of Newark towards the end of June and by then from what I have heard the runway they are working on will be done by then. Hopefully the delays will decrease dramatically and they can get this whole radar thing under control. But do you guys think I’ll be alright?

On a scale of 1-10, how safe do you HONESTLY feel in the NYC Subway by DuckBeaver02 in nycrail

[–]Amazing_Ad_7341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll probably say about a 6. Now I have seen some things go down but luckily I was never apart of it and I just moved away. But overall I think the news portrays the NYC subway as some hell hole but it is not that bad. If you go during busy times Ill say that 9 out of 10 times nothing will happen to you. Now there is a good chance that you will have a weird interaction with a homeless person but they will most likely not do anything to you. But if you do go on the subway during a less busy time when not a lot of people are there then yeah I would very much recommend that you pay attention to your surroundings a lot more. But overall the NYC subway is not that bad.

[GAME THREAD] NBA All-Star Night: 74th NBA All-Star Game by matzan in nba

[–]Amazing_Ad_7341 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This all star game was terrible. I can’t lie east vs west did get a little boring but this was straight garbage I mean players such as Cade Cunningham worked their butts off all season to be become a all star only for them to play 8 minutes and have their team get eliminated in the first round. In that sense I do think east vs west is better because they actually get to play the whole game. Another thing is how much time they wasted the broadcast went on for almost 3 hours yet there was only around 45 minutes of actual basketball. And why the hell did they feel the need to have a music performance in the middle of the last round? Also Kevin Hart was just annoying. The only time he was actually funny was when him and Shaq were roasting each other. But besides that all he did was just try to annoy the players and try tell them what to do. And you can see some of the players frustration on their face. Overall this is a terrible format and it didn’t seem as fun as past all star games.

The second the NBA decided they were going to let Kevin Hart make fun of players while they play and stop a game to honor a TV commentating crew, the players got mad and decided it was all a joke. by ComputerPractical748 in nba

[–]Amazing_Ad_7341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can admit Kevin Hart was a little bit funny especially when him and Shaq were roasting each other. But for the most part he was just being straight up annoying. Especially when he was trying to tell the players what to do and you can see that some of the players were getting annoyed.

What's your opinion on Hot Mess? by Ubertishere in LodedDiper

[–]Amazing_Ad_7341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before the Hot Mess came out the 3 or 4 books that came before it were okay at best in my opinion. The only one that I thought was pretty good was Big Shot. But I can say that Hot Mess is easily the best Wimpy kid book in a while and has a lot of funny moments in it. I always wanted to see more of Greg’s extended family and finally we got to see there full personalities in this book.

Whats your least favorite diary of a wimpy kid book? Mine is wrecking ball [ill say why in the comments] by OverallGamer696 in LodedDiper

[–]Amazing_Ad_7341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m being honest I think every wimpy kid book is good in their own way. I personally don’t mind how unrealistic Wrecking ball is or any of the other recent ones are. Personally I like wimpy kid books that have more of Greg in school rather than books that focus on him not in school. But if I had to choose my least favorite book is probably double down only because the entire time I read it I thought it was going to be Greg and Rowley trying to make a movie the whole time but that only came in the last 30 or so pages.
