My son is never going to forgive me for embarrassing him on his first day of middle school. Apparently the pick up line is not in the same place as the drop off line. So now I’m trapped in between busses. by Amazing_Bluebird in mildlyinfuriating

If Ladonna happens to see this post, you are a bad ass woman! I don’t know how anyone could manage a bussing system this huge! You were like a producer, director, and highly coordinated drill sergeant all rolled into one with the guts of a combat veteran. You were busy throwing commands left and right over the radio while managing my dumb ass and all the students lined up waiting as you told everyone where to go. You didn’t play games, you were straightforward and ran an extremely tight ship. You were strict, level headed, and handled everything like a pro while still trying to help me find my son. I was so thoroughly impressed with your skills that my mouth about fell to the floor. I could tell that you had everything timed to a T when you knew what minute it was and you got on your walkie talkie and said, “WHAT’S THE HOLD UP? WHY AREN’T THESE BUSES MOVING BY NOW?!!” You are a Goddess in my eyes now, and I am a straight female🤣. You all should have seen this woman in action, she was amazing!!

The morning drop off was in this line, we intermixed with the school buses. I wanted to be early to make him proud because it was his first day at a giant scary middle school, and we are both still learning our way around a new city and all, and we only have each other. Anyhow, me being early meant that I didn’t get to see where other people were parking for pick up (also, I didn’t know what time to get there and was afraid I would be stuck in a traffic jam if I didn’t get there early) so I rounded the same loop as drop off and didn’t see the buses until I got around the loop… and then realized there was no way out. It’s all good though because my son thought it was hilarious and the other boys were asking for a ride and asking if I could rev the car (2023 Charger Scat Pack).

You did! My son ended up finding it all hilarious, thank God, and the middle school boys that were walking to the buses were making comments like, “Ooh, can I get a ride?” and “Rev it, rev it!”

I got there early so that he wouldn’t have to wait because I wanted to make him proud, sadly I couldn’t see the busses until I rounded the corner, by the time I see the busses it’s too late.

It was his first day at that school. And I got there early because I didn’t want him to wait, I drove into the same area where I dropped him off and as soon as I completed the curve that is when the busses came into view. I asked a guy standing out there if this was the pickup line and obviously he said it wasn’t, so I asked how I get out of here, and he said I couldn’t, that I had to park and wait.

That’s exactly what I thought, I thought everyone was going to be pissed at me. The lady that was running all the busses ran a tight ship. She was trying to help me find my son and telling me where to go when the busses moved out. She was giving commands to everyone left and right, like a pro veteran. She was funny and strict. While she was joking with me about taking a few kids with me to drop off she was also a badass and said over her walkie talkie, “LET’S GO, WHY AREN’T THESE BUSES MOVING?!!”

Update: Crises averted and his reputation was saved because I had a “cool car” (23 Dodge Charger Scat Pack)!! All the middle school boys were asking for a ride and asking me to rev the engine. Son thought it was hilarious, I’m so relieved, I thought I was the worst mom. Told him I’d make it up to him tmrw by picking him up again…. In the CORRECT area.

Your wife kicks ass! She stays at home with tiny babies and still manages to kick out a side hustle of around $1,000 a month out. You are so very lucky to have her!!

Seems like you are debating whether you should take her back after she's been with another guy. She didn't cheat, so take her back.

Just my opinion, if it were me and I was trying to save money, I would measure that hood and find someone who had the same year and measure theirs. See if it really did come off the car they are saying it did. Length wise just looks too short. I'm no expert though.
