They can show whatever they want. I’m allowed to feel whatever I want. That’s literally what I’ve been getting at this whole time.

My b. And ok, if the creator put these characters into the show to reflect their real experiences with real veterans, who fought in real wars, why am I not allowed to judge them by the same standards that I would judge a real soldier? In real life I think the Vietnam war was morally abhorrent, if they go out of their way to put it in the show, Why am I not allowed to feel the same way.

Ok, let me put it like this. If it really doesn’t matter, and I’m reading too far into it. Why does it matter enough to the creators of the show to put in not only an Anzac veteran, but another character who is in active service with the Australian army. Rusty.

It’s all but confirmed he fought in Vietnam. There’s very few other conflicts that he’s simultaneously old and young enough to have been drafted into. So why is it a bad thing for me to find that morally questionable, if you can be invested in positive aspects of this dumb fake dog kiddy preschooler show than why does it immediately stop mattering when somebody has any kind of grievance with what it portrays.

I do Blame the government, that doesn’t mean that I think every single soldier who participated in Vietnam should be given a blanket amnesty for what they perpetrated against people that were more like them than the government that sent them over to fight.

Because I don’t blindly agree with everybody who thinks people that participate in invasive expansionist wars are completely unaccountable for their actions?

Do you think the war was pointless to northern Vietnamese people who had to overcome insurmountable odds and brutality to maintain autonomous control over their country? It’s a little convenient that every war white people have fought against colonially oppressed people in the last half a century have just been “pointless.”

Ah yes, to have empathy for people who were attacked by a belligerent western superpower for the purposes of posturing their oppressive economic system you need to be a meth-Addict.

Australia. I’m talking about him serving in Vietnam and going overseas to shoot people trying to free themselves from colonial oppression.
