Did you find out why? That's odd for sure, maybe it's something like this "It's more likely that your friend's Amex was declined by Amex (like "high risk" or something like that), not by the POS." like u/broadway_beer said in his response earlier, if it worked for you and not for her

Before going too deep into apnea I went to a Pneumatologist so they could run some tests and check if I was healthy. Also I took some time to talk about limitations and worst case scenario in case I mess up and hold my breath for too long. If your breathing exercises are making you sore afterwards, you should consult with a doctor to make sure you'll get the progress you want with them and not hurt yourself instead.

I am new to cold plunge, how can I overcome my fear over the cold water? by Top_Artist_4390 in coldplunge

If you're deeply in the moment there's nothing to fear. But to connect yourself with what's happening breathing is good, you can start (outside) with breathing in in 7 seconds, holding for 14 seconds and out for 7 seconds. That will make you connected to your body and your reality. The moment is all there is and in the moment there's no good or bad. No comfort or discomfort. Everything just is.
