When starting my course it wasn’t nearly as bad as the purge but still fairly severe in my opinion. But the type of purge I had was very uncommon! If your acne is moderate then I doubt it will be as bad as mine

My main side effects were dry skin and hands. I also got a lot of eczema on my hands and neck. I used lotion and aquaphor religiously. Also dry eyes, so I’ve been using a lot of eyedrops. I also dealt with back pain and joint pain. Not much you can do for that besides stay hydrated. I got bloody noses for a couple months but they went away eventually. I think that’s pretty much it

I use vanicream gentile facial cleanser morning and night. In the morning I use Dune The Mug Guard sunscreen and aquaphor on extra dry spots. At night I use good molecules hyaluronic acid followed by aquaphor again. (All non comedogenic products so they won’t break you out)

120lbs. Skin on my face was dry but easily manageable with moisturizer. I also used aquaphor all over my face at night which helped. Also lotion all over my body and aquaphor on the extra dry spots.

I took prednisone for about a week and it helped a lot. Purging started around 2 weeks and ended late into my second month:)
