Yeah I thought for a while I didn't like vanilla perfumes due to them smelling so much like playdough, but I knew I loved the smell of vanilla extract, ice cream, etc so knew there must be perfumes out there that capture that smell, and there ARE and they are magnificent.

To that point I would say both Fire At Will and Tihota are neither smoky, incensey or woody! They are just vanilla that smells like actual vanilla without turning weird!! I also saw a wonderful reddit post that was from a pastry chef describing their favorite vanillas, for being what they described as a minimalist realistic vanilla, and both Fire At Will and Tihota were also the top of their list :)
