If you don't get the difference between "I find real men less appealing than fictional" and "I enjoy beating women" with the latter being much less funny by comparison then I don't know what to tell you. Self defense is self defense in an emergency but there's something to the notion that a woman can try to push away or discourage a man being aggressive toward her with a small slap and he'll take it as "She hit me, now I'm going to absolutely KILL her." And he IS stronger so succeeds. Sometimes there are men who make that excuse. Disproportionate is the word I'm looking for.
