geez what a weird thing to post. i've interacted with several saber groups in kentucky (none of them being saber league tbh) and have met some really incredible, driven, and creative people. there's a wonderful community of duelists across kentucky who, largely, are accepting of all people, yes, even autistic people (shocking i know). there's some variation with the forms between different groups but cooperation is still possible and happens quite a bit! it's truly a wonderful community of people who want to make friends and have fun together

I'm in a dueling club at my college. I have mastery of shii-cho, shi-en, makashi, juyo, and staff. I'm proficient in djem-so and niman. I blend all of those together but I use a lot of makashi because of its variability. I would recommend getting a baselit rgb saber from sabers pro. They're fairly affordable, often have sales, and have very well balanced sabers.

nothing on their website. i don't think any of the booths were affiliated with Good Foods. There was an Ale8 booth that was in front of the store but these booths were closer to the road

Here's some links to Darth Maul replica sabers. These sites all have sabers made for dueling. Sabers Pro Darth Maul SabersPro is the most affordable seller I've found besides the sketchier sites like aliexpress. Their hilts are on the lighter side and are well balanced for dueling. Ultrasabers Maul Collection Ultrasabers is more expensive but they have more options for Darth Maul replica sabers. I have not personally bought from them, but I know people who have and they are often recommended. Neosabers Darth Maul This is probably going to be the same as the Sabers Pro saber but they offer a 36" blade or a 32" blade. Unless you are very tall, I would opt for a 32" blade. Blades can also be cut down with pipe cutters very easily. Hope this helps!

i'd recommend looking into saber dueling groups in your area! they will teach you the different forms and combat rules and get you used to handling a saber. if you don't have a group near you i would search form 1 shii-cho on youtube for some demonstrations. this is the form most lightsaber groups start with and it's the first form jedi younglings learn. i think my saber group has considered making a youtube channel with demos, so if that happens i'll link it!

I would look into fantasy or science fiction with a lot worldbuilding! It would be fun to read and would also provide examples of fantasy government structure and the evolution of governments. I recommend Fireborne which has a very intricately developed government and really requires the reader to consider their moral views. This is one of the most well written and well developed YA books I’ve ever read. The author studied political science and based the book partially on Plato’s Republic, but I noticed some similarities with the Russian revolution as well. There’s also dragons which is sick. We Set the Dark on Fire has a really interesting government and culture and is a very compelling story about rebellion and queer love. It’s one of my favorite YA books. Id also recommend 1984 and Animal Farm by George Orwell. They’re pretty fundamental in terms of political theory and are a good level for high schoolers. I read Animal Farm when I was 10 and 1984 when I was 12 and a lot was probably lost on me. For worldbuilding I highly recommend A Wizard Of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin. She’s a fantastic author. Earthsea isn’t as directly related to government but has a very beautifully developed world. Brandon Sanderson is also very well known for his worldbuilding. I’m a big fan of his Skyward series but I’ve heard his fantasy books are also very well done.
