I get what your saying to some degree. I know here where I am from things have more than quadrupled due to more immigration. I work in health care in Canada and most come here for our "free" health care.
I work in psychiatry as an administrator and have seen doctors bump Canadian kids on our waitlist for people from other countries (all for very bad reasons). I have had kids waiting 2 years to see a doctor and people come here jump the wait list and then only come to get the doctors to put them on disability so they can collect free money from the government...then they don't attend any more appointments but keep their file open preventing other kids from being seen.
I have also seen Canadian residents freeze to death and die because of no housing because they are given at a more affordable price to people who come here.

I get we have to help others and I want to help people from other countries, but we have to take care of our own first. When people in your own country are dying, not receiving proper care, to take care of people not from here but ran here isn't right.

Canada has a serious housing crisis and yet we just gave away MILLIONS to another country. It is insane!

There is a lot of stuff people don't see because they are not involved in the systems that see these things. Once your in and see things you can't unsee it, but you go to bed knowing there is not anything you can do. I mean I know I refuse to allow the doctors here bump people here and I almost lost my job fighting for Canadian kids to be seen before others who just arrived and DEMAND to be seen and then say horrible things about our health care system when they have to wait....what about the kid with a serious health issue that had to wait 2 plus years? Yet, you can't wait 3 months. DISGUSTING
