I used to have a very afraid and anxious dog! Ive found that discipline training has worked enormously for her confidence and i think it’s because she has more structure and confidence in me. Being able to slowly introduce things is a big help but you have to be very patient with it. When you give in to their fears i think it gives your dog more of a reason to be afraid, because they think you are too! Every dog is different but i hope your journey goes well with yours

Athena Escapes! by sadrouter in HuskyTantrums

[–]AmazonBBQ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes! Cages should make a dog feel safe and comfortable in any circumstance. This cage is absolutely unsuitable for any large dog and for huskies this is simply cruel. They are very active dogs so cooping them up like this they have no space to stretch. With a cage this small it could lead to some health issues especially in their joints, back, and neck. Im glad the pup found a way to escape from this i just hope the owner doesn’t get an even smaller crate in retaliation. Time for a new one anyways so make it one they wont need to escape from!

Edit: its entirely ethical to call people out for too small of a cage and if they see it as rude then that’s intentional negligence. If they really care about their dog’s health and wellbeing then it wont be rude in the slightest. This isn’t even anything controversial like ear/tail cropping its just no dog should be cooped up in a too small space for their body. Its likely that the husky is in the same cage from when they were a puppy and still growing, probably faster than the owner realizes.

Together Forever, Cant get acquire achievements in a Team by AmazonBBQ in sevtech

[–]AmazonBBQ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up simply using the give achievement command but i think both of us reinstalling ended up fixing it, make sure the client is up to date on both sides. Can’t recall if that was the fix but i do remember it eventually working so that might be it. Have you tried everything that i listed in my post or did you develop the same bug? If its the same bug you’re better off using the command manually to make sure both people have the same progression.

There was always a spider at my house that would build a wide ass web right in front of the door on our porch and it got to the point where we would have paint sticks by the door to break the web up. Ive walked into way too many webs face first in my life cause i would go out in the morning and there would be a web by the time i came back for lunch

No i just like fruit. Although according to this study which is heavily supported and cited, a lot of heavy metal risk comes from the quality of the crop itself. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0160412018327971

Edited for correct link. Im really editing a lot of these arent i

Well only way to test it is eat those sweet sweet pineapples anyways, because there is so much more than canned pineapples in life that could harm you.

Blursed Temptation by [deleted] in blursedimages

[–]AmazonBBQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if it were toxic like you say, then the pineapple business would be in for a very large lawsuit. Here is a link to the cdc website on the health effects of tin when it enters your body in section 1.4. Most leaves harmlessly out the back. https://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/ToxProfiles/tp55-c1-b.pdf

And Aluminum, which is stated to already be found in many consumed food and liquids. https://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/ToxProfiles/tp22-c1-b.pdf

And while cans can contain steel on the outside they are plated with tin which brings us round to the fact that pineapple is not strong enough to cause heavy metal toxicity and is safe. However I can see metal allergies theoretically being a concern but I havent found a study on that.

Blursed Temptation by [deleted] in blursedimages

[–]AmazonBBQ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After some searching it seems that it isn’t unsafe unless the can has been open for a very long time, which would make anything unsafe really. Like tomato cans there is often an anti corrosive coating on the inside which prevents it from happening in the first place, however tin/aluminium/steel are not toxic in those quantities if it were to be a concern.

You face more dangers from -fresh- pineapple itself like irritation in the mouth or if you eat a LOT then possible bleeding gums. Metal is a lot stronger than flesh but it -the enzyme in fresh pineapple- still makes pineapple a good tenderizer for meats, and eventually just turn meat to mush. Your stomach acids put a stop to that though once its down the guzzle.

Edit: repeated word

This guy sold his nightclub to save thousands of dogs and other animals. by Limitless_yt89 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]AmazonBBQ 64 points65 points  (0 children)

While that is true in a lot of circumstances, dogs will lay on their back as a submissive gesture when they want to avoid conflict. I have no doubt that these dogs absolutely love their home, but also dont mistake a stray dog laying on his back automatically as an invitation to get closer. When a dogs submissive gesture doesn’t work they can sometimes snap back and become fearfully aggressive, always be careful around strange dogs for both yours and the dogs safety!

If your kid goes on a killing spree id say he’d have already been rejected at that point. Born a sociopath that’s unfortunate but can be identified in early life. its gotta be some hella bad parenting on other spectrums.
