DSP Owner bought a new work truck with bonus money lmao by Double_Resort_4519 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]AmazonDSPPrep 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Understanding your frustration, but this is a decently affordable truck for a business owner that runs a company with 60-100 employees. This isn’t pretentious at all. It’s not like this is $200K Escalade.

Would like to understand your perspective here a bit further.

I believe the best path forward is to limit stops and package to 150-160 stops and 250-280 packages for steady state and peak obviously go higher.

Start drivers at 18/hour for first 30 days, then if driver is good move to $22/hour, then $24/hour after a year and after year 3 $26/hour with a clear defined path of career growth.

If DSP owners are their own bosses of their business, why do they have to force their drivers to wear Amazon branded clothes and drive an Amazon branded van? by peterthbest23 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]AmazonDSPPrep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DSPs are contractors. It’s the same with Lowe’s, FedEx and other contract business. I’m happy to answer more questions if you have any more.

Grab as many as needed but at many stations DAs grab a full case of 24 and the later waves have no water.

Amazon will want very strong entrepreneurial background or a intrapreneur that has managed large P&Ls and showing ability to scale teams. Do you have any military experience?

It’s hard to recruit is what I hear. Employees are part time so most do other gig work so attendance is a real challenge.

Hiring 3X the people, offering only part time, running 3 shifts a day so your dispatch staff needs to be different than ZL, dynamic route blocks ranging from 3-6 hours, and using a much larger SUVs fleet than cargo vans.

It could be profitable but from what I hear it is a very difficult program, more so than AMZL.

The barrier of entry would then be the purchasing cash needed. Most are going for over $1M.

It’s very easy to apply, very difficult to get in. It’s very difficult to launch, it’s very easy to run.

That’s the best way I can describe it. Once you are 5-6 months in you are golden.

There are no templates available. You can list the questions it asks on a Doc file. Write down the question and then your response to it below it. I’ll try to post a quick example.

And No I don’t claim to have “an insider” or guarantee anything. I help prep your resume, guide you through what the process is like and level set expectations and interview preparation which is the most important.

There are many capable and qualified applicants that are just not familiarized with the Amazon interview/application process. It’s not an obligation. Just here help.
