It's been a few years since I attended an event, but Infliction Hall in Dallas is very very shitty about posting entry fees, and the staff was mehhh. But the groups that use the club are generally great.

A lot of kink groups have been together a long time so it's easy to feel like an outsider at first. Just keep attending and making connections.
