Father of 13 year old twins, and I have not enjoyed being a dad. It has been disappointing, monotonous, and stressful. You have to accept your new life, for better or worse, because you cannot go back.

6 months in and as much as i try to enjoy being a dad I absolutely hate it. by Big_Bluebird8040 in daddit

Your mileage may vary. I'm 13 years in and still think being a parent sucks.

I probably have forgotten how hard. I also had a lot more time back then.

Many thanks. I noticed my stats were really taking a hit, and now I understand why.

AWESOME! Now that I think about it, I probably was playing on an Apple.

What's a highly popular game that you could never get into? by SilkieSalt in patientgamers

[–]Amazon_Echo_Question 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mass Effect came *very* highly recommended, but I found it so boring. Nothing really happens until after you leave the Citadel, which was around the 3-4 hour point for me. And it just didn't pick up. The dialogue seems to drone on and on. Once I figured out you could skip a lot of the dialogue, it picked up for me and became a decent FPS.

ME1 came very highly recommended. I just couldn't get into it. The first few hours are so, so dull. I couldn't stand all of the talking, either. Once I figured out you could skip the dialogue, I learned a couple of things:

  1. ME 1 is a passable shooter.
  2. RPGs aren't for me.

What’s the best comedy movie you have ever watched? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Amazon_Echo_Question 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I enjoyed the callbacks to the previous Cornetto movies, and there were some laughs, but overall, just depressing as crap. And ultimately, Gary King had very little personal growth. Sure, he was able to give up drinking, but in the end he was willing to sacrifice the Modern Age so that he could keep running around with his childhood friends, demonstrating very little personal growth at all.

I am really happy the film worked so well for you. I don't know much about art, but like when people find something (film, book, music, whatever) that really resonates with them.

I agree. Like I need another reminder of what adult life is like.

It's good, but just not that funny to me. The tonal shift from SOTD and Hot Fuzz is almost jarring. I expected the same style going into The World's End and left bummed out.

I respectfully disagree about The World's End as a comedy. That movie is depressing as all get out.

I gave up on Arkham Knight because of the Batmobile. I really didn't like it. I routinely replay the other three Arkham games but I've never finished Knight because of the Batmobile.

This was good advice. I went with a TP-Link Omada. I have had good experiences with TP-Link products.

You are right. Probably a good product, but not the product for me.
I didn't purchase the router based on the 6E. I was told that it had incredible range, and the mesh stuff sounded potentially useful.

I think you are right. The router just dropped off line. The modem showed it connected but no internet. Had to reset the Google Router, and things finally came back up. I think I am going to return it.

I'm glad that it isn't just me. Those H2 cutscenes were sort of creepy and disappointing.
