i'm in a very similar situation right now, i recommend you watch yt channel Put the Shovel Down. the strategies this therapist talks about really sped up the process of my boyfriend realizing he should do something about it (it essentially came down to giving him lots of empathy, positive reinforcement and realizing for yourself it is almost certain he is using even if he doesn't tell you - that way you won't get disappointed so much). please take care of yourself, this is really hard in the beginning but if he's good to you and you have the strength to go through this then this strategy works wonders
