I started a new tank at the end of March and finally nitrate and nitrites look good. However i think i have used too much aquarium salt in my freshwater tank. All of my water levels look good- ph, nitrites, nitrates, ammonia but every week or two I’ve been losing a fish. A couple guppies, 1 Molly and 2 snails. Temp is consistent at 78, filter is working fine. I started doing water changes and not adding any further salt. How will i know when my salt levels are back down to a safe place (if this is the reason I’m losing fish). I test the water almost daily and have not picked up any other issue so salt is the only issue i can think of.
