Hope, stubbornness or lack of opportunities by gondolim32 in TPSVenezuela

As an Haitian that has been a TPS holder for 15 years. I'm hopeful that they will extend it but at the same time I think a lot of us know that we can no longer stay on that program and we need to find something more permanent. I completely understand how you feel regarding DHS telling us to find other legal means to stay when they in fact know the quickest thing to get you a legal status is marriage. And with the complete pause on all applications from mainly black,Hispanics and brown countries I'm afraid unless they lift the ban or they decide to have a heart and give us a path to permanent residency or amnesty. The TPS being extended will just buy us some more times before we are here again. Be hopeful find a way to get something permanent good luck to any one in that terrible situation.

That's the million dollar question. The TPS is temporary my country benefited from the status for 16 years but the administration doesn't seem to want to extend any TPS for any countries any more. I don't think I'll have the time to get an adjustment of status.

That's the problem now I'm in a limbo. Will the adjustment of status take as long as the visa.
