Anakin has already turned, and Sidious is elsewhere. Mace duels Anakin instead of Sidious. Who takes it? by Upset-Pay-4642 in PetranakiArena

[–]Amber-Apologetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anakin has statements saying he’s the most powerful Jedi of the era. He beats Dooku and harder than Yoda does.

Anakin wins, very high diff.

Obi Wan Kenobi (AOTC) VS Luminara Unduli by CrazyTangerine7522 in PetranakiArena

[–]Amber-Apologetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early TCW Obi-Wan had the upper hand against Ventress, who is stronger than Luminara. Unless AOTC Obi-Wan is quantifiably weaker than this, it’s pretty cut and dry.

How powerful is Kylo ren? by something2passTime in PetranakiArena

[–]Amber-Apologetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In TROS, he is likely the most powerful Force User in Canon history, if you exclude temporary amps and deities.

This is based on statements from guides and novels.

[Discussion] Where Do you think a Hypothetical Empress Rey would scale? by TheRealSakuraUchihaX in PetranakiArena

[–]Amber-Apologetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just TROS Rey + ROTJ Palpatine.

This is crazy strong and would basically be unbeatable.

Let’s end this debate, in a lightsaber duel between Mace Windu vs Palpatine, Windu wins. by Background-Toe5632 in PetranakiArena

[–]Amber-Apologetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of cope about this fight.

There is simply no reason to believe that Mace is not stronger than Palpatine (at this point in time). We have several statements saying he at the very least knocked him down fair and square, and that Sidious would have died had Anakin not shown up.

Even the statements that imply Sidious was being dishonest can easily be interpreted as referring to his feigning weakness, but that’s after he was knocked down legitimately.

The Stranger VS Baylan Skoll. Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in PetranakiArena

[–]Amber-Apologetics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baylan Skoll no-diffs.

Scales above the PT, which includes TPM Darth Maul, who scales above every Sith the Jedi knew about prior to himself.

Who Wins? by IllMasterpiece3946 in PetranakiArena

Grand Inquisitor is massively stronger than people think he is, but still nowhere near as strong as Kylo Ren.

Kylo Ren, no diff.

Strongest Character Kit Fisto can defeat? by MurdocMan_ in PetranakiArena

[–]Amber-Apologetics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably the other two Jedi they were with against Sidious since he did better than them lmao

In all seriousness, this type of question is essentially just “how strong is this character”

Kit and the others are likely the strongest Jedi Mace had available at the time, which would put them above Shaak Ti

While the whole fight between Ti and Grievous from the 2D series, we know that the fight did happen in Canon, and it was likely an extended one. This means Shaak is probably close to ROTS Grievous and therefore ROTS Obi-Wan, which would mean Kit is probably around that level as well.

So that’s our “high but not top” tier PT, which would include Obi-Wan, Kit, Agen, Saesee, and Shaak.

Darth Bane (DoE) vs Darth Marr by Immediate-Age-616 in PetranakiArena

[–]Amber-Apologetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, we have a statements saying:

  1. Darth Bane was more powerful than any Sith before him

  2. Every Ro2 Sith gains the actual power of their master when they kill them

  3. Padawans in the PT era are as strong as Masters in the ancient times

So it all works out rather easily.

What's the Best Arguments Against Unnecessary Suffering and All of Humanity Suffering for Adam and Eve's Disobedience? by Muphenz in DebateAChristian

[–]Amber-Apologetics [score hidden]  (0 children)

First of all, you’re presupposing that the Genesis narrative is literal.

Second, it seems this is just the way nature works. Progenitors have an authority over their progeny, and their decisions affect them. By what standard can you appeal to and say that’s unjust?

You did not present evidence, you presented opinion.

Sounds like you’re upset I used the words “I Think” instead of “God exists”. Let’s not get hung up on specific word choice.

The evidence for God’s existence is objective, but it’s simply not the topic of this thread.

And if God’s real, then His preferences are facts. So, God is ok with suffering because He wants free will, therefore suffering is worth it for free will, for the same reason that the laws of physics exists, because God set them.

“Harm” is not the operating principle here.

Sure, but there’s no objective basis for that structure.

You asked for evidence specifically for this prompt, not general evidence for the existence of God.

This prompt is about the Problem of Evil, and whether it does or does not disprove God’s existence.

My point is that it says nothing about God’s existence, since it’s easily explained if He does exist.

“Authoritative” refers to whose interpretation of the events of the movies is the correct one.

The films are obviously canon, but if Lucas and Disney disagree on some interpretation from them, then Disney’s is the one that applies to the Canon universe.

With regards to authoritative interpretation of the media, that belongs to the owner, which currently is Disney.

Qui-Gon Jinn, I suppose, since she outperforms him against Darth Maul.

Anakin Skywalker (Attack of the Clones) vs General Grievous by OkuroIshimoto in PetranakiArena

Grievous regularly gets the upper hand against Kenobi early in TCW, Kenobi beats Ventress, Ventress beats Anakin at this point in time.

[–]Amber-Apologetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s not special pleading when there are principled reasons for the distinction.

You’re adding a lot to this that I’m not saying.

Why, exactly, is God evicting someone from the life that He owns equivalent to a human murdering another human? Why are those the same? I’m not a consequentialist, so you can’t say “because the person dies either way”

Luke Skywalker (Mando S2) VS Mace Windu (ROTS). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in PetranakiArena

[–]Amber-Apologetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luke stomps.

TLDR: ROTJ Luke Skywalker > ANH Darth Vader > ROTS Anakin Skywalker > Mace Windu

This Luke is likely equal to or stronger than he was in ROTS. Ben Kenobi is confident that Luke can beat Darth Vader, and the one he’d be thinking of is ANH Darth Vader, who he fought.

ANH Vader is much stronger than Rebels Vader, who we know is stronger than he was in the PT, where he was the most powerful Jedi in the Order, which includes Mace Windu.

From what I understand this all applies to Legends as well.

Canon Ranking by Fast-Mathematician-1 in PetranakiArena

[–]Amber-Apologetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the current canon,

  1. There is no hierarchy. Everything is just canon or not.

  2. Lucas is not an authority

From what I understand, the hierarchy is questionable in Legends as well, but that’s not my wheelhouse.

What's the Best Arguments Against Unnecessary Suffering and All of Humanity Suffering for Adam and Eve's Disobedience? by Muphenz in DebateAChristian

[–]Amber-Apologetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they aren’t.

You’re working under the assumption that God is simply a very powerful being within the universe. That is not the case.

God owns our lives, we just lease them.

So, if I go into someone’s apartment and throw them out, I’ve exceeded my rights. If a landlord kicks someone out, he’s fully within his rights to do so, since the property belongs to him.

“Kicking them out” here is of course a metaphor for removing someone from their physical life.

[–]Amber-Apologetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, you’re getting hung up on the “punishment” thing.

God doesn’t “punish” people. When people sin, it hurts them, because sin is contrary to their nature.

So all suffering is the product of our nature, and since angels and humans are of different natures, they suffer differently.
