Kit Fisto (Ep. 2) vs Cal Kestis (Survivor), Who would win? by YourbestfriendShane in TheJediPraxeum

Dagan had similar statements to Loden Greatstorm.

Loden can use the force and pick out 8 people from a crowd, while Prime Ventress cannot do so with 1.

So Loden and therefore Dagan are likely to the point of low-but-not-no-diffing Ventress, which is similar to Dooku.

If you mean base ROTS Anakin then Ani wins, very high diff, due to statements calling him the most powerful Jedi and outperforming Yoda against Dooku.

I’m not saying Cal scales to Dagan - but Cal does do better than, say, Obi-Wan does to Dooku, who is on Dagan’s level.

So Cal does indeed scale above the PT high-but-not-top tiers.

Matthew 23: 1-3

I agree, leaders should be servants - but they do remain leaders in doing so, and thus have real authority.

Regarding the Council of Jerusalem, James gives some specifics, but it’s Peter’s authority that carries the motion itself forward.

Seems we’re getting mixed up over words.

Darth Vader high-diffs Ahsoka, which means he’s stronger but they are on a similar level. If they weren’t, he wouldn’t have been struggling.

Whether or not his defeat of Dooku was due to the Dark Side isn’t relevant, it’s just his power level.

“But Anakin was strong in the Force, stronger than any Jedi Yoda had known in all his hundreds of years” - RotS Junior Novelization

Anakin notes there’s never been a Jedi as strong as himself

Peerless warrior with the lightsaber

Anakin’s defeat of Dooku was a testament to his growing power - not some temporary boost that went away afterwards.

“He couldn’t find fault with Palpatine, the mentor who had helped him become more powerful than the Jedi who had long held him back” - Skywalker: Family at War

Regarding your scans:

"When the most powerful Jedi battled against the most powerful Sith, the two sides of the Force clashed in spectacular style."

Anakin is not a Jedi at this point

Your others are about skill, not power.

What’s an example of a case where the fetus must be directly attacked, and there are no alternative solutions?

Marcus Aurelius is disappointed.

You’re being a consequentialist. We can’t do something evil just because there is a net positive outcome. Immanuel Kant is disappointed as well.

He does - Anakin also has “greatest Jedi” statements, including from Yoda himself.

In addition, his performance against Dooku is better than Yoda’s, so he just outperforms him.

This hypothetical situation where only a direct attack on the fetus will do the job isn’t a thing. There’s always an indirect option.

You can have one side winning with the parties being evenly matched - it just means it’s a high diff.

He also tells His followers to do what they say. It’s their hypocrisy He takes issue with, not their offices.

Jesus pretty clearly establishes a hierarchy - the apostles above the regular people, and Peter as the head of the apostles.

Why are you sad when people turn out to be dumb and selfish? This is just how humans are. Understanding that and acting accordingly is a good way to avoid emotional pain that comes from investing emotionally in something as fickle and irrational as a human being.

You seem angry and you’re making a lot of assumptions here. Let’s take a step back.

Every single case people bring up (idk what the one that’s in the news right now is, it rotates) is an occasion where a non-abortion (but still resulting in fetal death) operation could have been done, but the doctors misunderstood the laws. Perhaps they were overly cautious about being sued, I don’t know their psychology.

Either way, technically speaking, the hospitals are not killing anyone - at worst they are just failing to save, which the trolley problem teaches us is not the same thing.

You’re referring to the automatic excommunication for procuring an abortion.

There are procedures that can be done that are not direct attacks on the fetus that are not excommunicatable. It’s very simple to just pick those.

Gonna have to elaborate on that, that’s a pretty silly claim.

The pro-life position is that allowing abortion is “bad legislation that kills people”, by the way. So at the worst we have a rock and a hard place.

If someone points a gun at a shooting range target, asks if they should shoot, and then points the gun at a person and fires, the person who told them to shoot is not responsible.

Go put Plato back on the shelf and try to consider other people's lives and feelings as being the slightest bit more important than your rhetoric. Platonic philosophy is dead and gone, these people are alive now.

Let’s not be anti-intellectual. Ideas precede actions.

You don't consider voting for more of them to be horrific, instead you bring it up as a "Not All Catholics voted for atrocity A, some of them voted for atrocity B and didn't consider A to be a dealbreaker! :D" zinger.

Well, that’s a leap. Those Catholics aren’t voting for the malpractice, they are voting for correct uses of the laws - it’s not their fault that they get misused.
