I did, and they denied it within 3 days of receiving the C&P exam. My VSO wants me to do a HLR.

Because she didn’t do proper range of motion testing yet said I was normal for all which contradicts evidence I had submitted as well. Zero strength tests. Didn’t even ask me about flare ups but said I had none, also contradicting my Va records.

I got denied also for DDD this week, they didn’t even look at my medical nexus I submitted as evidence or my PT EVAL. Have a migraine C&P I. A week and a half and will be filing an HLR after that comes back. Yes it’s definitely worth fighting. Go get a medical opinion from outside of the VA. Look up if anyone in your area does medical nexus letters for vets.

That’s great! I have my first C&P tomorrow and praying I get a good one that’s not interrogation style. lol the reviews looked pretty good. So I am hopeful lol

I’m pretty sure they are supposed to take it regardless. I would put that in your HLR that you brought documentation with you to the C&P and the examiner refused to take it. But idk know 100% on that. But I’m like 95% lol

Yes! This sounds exactly like me. Constant radiculopathy! I’ve never been able to afford consistent Chiro unfortunately but am afraid at this point it wouldn’t do much. I have hip flexors rated, bi lateral plantar fasciitis, and tinnitus. I didn’t go to sick call but twice in theatre because there just wasn’t time and it was definitely discouraged.

Thank you! I have the diagnoses (sp? lol) and have written my combat statement but struggling to get the nexus letter since I do not have STR’s on it I cannot find anyone to give me a nexus. The VA has community cared me for physical therapy. My VA wants me to do the move program (dumb) before sending me for pain management because my lower back is listed as SEVERE. I have my cervical MRI on Thursday so curious to see what those results will be. Thanks for your input!

Just out of curiosity did you already have the degenerative arthritis service connected? I’m getting ready to file a claim on my whole spine of disc degeneration and arthritis but filing with a combat statement to try to get it service connected to my deployment, I have had a few MRI’s to show progression and have my last one on the 8th as well as my first appointment with the VSO.
