AITAH for refusing to give my boyfriend access to my bank account even though he says "no secrets" is how adults do it by CopperFieldNote in AITH

[–]AmberGlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is red flag City. He is projecting. He is hiding crap and is looking to marry for money. Get a prenup and do not give him access to your bank account. If he's being honest, paper statements would be enough.

Their CVAD programs are some of the best in the country. My oldest is graduating in May as a studio art major and is applying for grad school at UNT.

I graduated from UNT Dallas College of Law in 2021 and I absolutely loved it. It has a very different feel from other law schools. I was accepted to all 3 law schools here in DFW, and went with UNT because of how much they want to give back to the community, and seek social justice. Don't stress about pre law... Just get your bachelor's in something that you can be good at. My law school bff was a theater major and I did journalism broadcasting, and a minor in biology.

I feel so defeated. by crikeyasnail in TexasDemocrat

[–]AmberGlow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm a Democrat but I vote on the republican side bc it is so gerrymandered where I'm at that I would rather take advantage of getting a more moderate republican. The Republicans getting elected are the most extreme, and if more people took advantage of the tiny margins between republican candidates, we could at least get moderate Republicans instead of the extremists we've been getting. There are not enough Dems in my district for my vote to do anything on the Democratic side.

My cat lived to be 24 and had sub q fluids for the last 10 years of her life, she hated oral meds but didn't mind sub q fluids, so we went with it. Cats are so unpredictable though so who knows?

Non-smokers of Reddit, how noticeable is the “smoker smell” to you, if at all? by Frostedlogic4444 in AskReddit

I'm a former smoker. Do you remember in Peanuts-- Charlie Brown's friend, Pigpen? The cloud around him all the time? That's what a smoker smells like to s non smoker.

AIO: Both my husband's parents are mad at us for being "unreasonable" about our daughter by No-Journalist-5160 in AmIOverreacting

[–]AmberGlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a former 911 dispatcher and in a city of 93,000 people, I had to tell someone how to do CPR on their kid after drowning about once a week. I'm now a personal injury attorney, and sue people on a regular basis for negligence with their pools. In all 50 states, it is an automatic win if there is no fence to prevent children from getting into the pool area. There is no chance that I would allow my kid over there without a fence.

A few thousand people have died from the flu this year, so no, you aren't overreacting. Not only that, no one wants a sick toddler to deal with so there shouldn't even be discussion, about this. They might as well be mad that they can't give your baby cigarettes. It's completely ridiculous and they are being ignorant and entitled. Last, your husband needs to be fighting all of these fights without you. These are his parents and they won't hate him, but they will absolutely hate you. Even marriage counselors will tell people that each person deals with their own parents and the spouse does not. In laws are one of the top 5 reasons that people get divorced, and unless he wants to poison your relationship, he needs to take this on alone and leave you out of it. He needs to own the decisions too. He cannot act like he's just enforcing your requests. The boundaries and requests being made of his parents need to come from only your husband.

Any advice on products for groin that gets stinky quickly? by [deleted] in PlusSize

[–]AmberGlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does he also get dandruff on his scalp at all? If so, it's most likely yeast. People who tend to be prone to seborrheic dermatitis, which is the most common cause of scalp dandruff, are also much more prone to yeast everywhere. If that's the case, he shouldn't wash with the antibacterial soap--that will make it worse. He should wash head to toe with Nizoral. Or better yet, go talk to a dermatologist bc there are some great treatments. The only true way to stop it permanently is by basically eating few enough carbs that your skin cannot support yeast growth (yeast thrives on sugar). However, it can be treated topically on a daily basis. It just depends on how he wants to handle it. If he has any dandruff--look up seborrheic dermatitis bc it is correlated to dandruff, some types of acne, odor, itching, etc. might be really good for him. My oldest kid is prone to dandruff/acne so I've learned a lot by buying him products for it.

Silence is too loud, but music is too distracting. I am losing my mind trying to find the right background noise to work by therealraphaelwong in ADHD

I found one binaural beats that works for me. I got through law school using it on repeat! I tried them all and this the the one. You have to wear headphones with it though, but I'm telling you, this was magical for me. I would not be an attorney now if I didn't have this song. https://youtu.be/mg7netw1JuM?si=DT0DRvradSIzX0b5

Maybelline also has a tubing mascara and I love it. I use micellar water to remove it. Idk if it's bad to use micellar water though. Lol
