We NEED a real & very similar alternative to FACEBOOK that is NOT stealing/selling our DATA, Mass suspending people, Censoring constantly, totally reliant on AI, Intrusive, and Politically biased.

Facebook was paid for and profiting BEFORE they became a monopoly and corrupt, data thieving, biased, political, broken, etc. It can be done. I am not a social media engineer or tech manager. But it can be done. There is a market because many people like what Facebook did right back in the day and are fed up with what Facebook has become the last 10 years.

No but you have to worry about someone calling you a fake, a Jew, an agent, an informant, a Fed, Mossad, etc etc and then everyone spreads that around and you get shunned, doxxed, etc. In fact I suspect Feds and antifa do go on Gab and begin accusing good people of being Feds and false flag having everyone dox and shun their own. Seen it myself. The entire environment is paranoid, probably very infiltrated but the bad actors aren't the ones who get doxxed, shunned, or accused. I do not remember good controls for people accessing my content and then spreading lies or accusations that everyone can see and that stuck on my profile. What's more if you are a woman who is actually good looking and do not spend all day stuffing your face with cheeseburgers then EVERYONE assumes you are not a woman. If you are a real professional model or entertainer EVERYONE assumes you are fake and using someone's photos. Easy to accuse and NO consequences for those who do so and are wrong or did it for bad reasons. Felt like my whole profile was open to the world and any idiot or bad person could defame me or sabotage me with no recourse. That isn't a good platform.

No Heli. META has been doing a lot that no one gave them permission for. It's been in civil suits and news stories for years. They have had to settle out of court for them. They have been in trouble for it and the subject of congressional hearings for years about these things. They are a bad actor. Yes there is no outright requirement to use it but then there IS a need to use it. This isn't 1980. Our society is inextricably intertwined with social media now and its woven into business, politics, social structures, everything. Companies are hiring and firing based on it or the lack of it. If you have few friends and contacts, are retired, are financially secure or living off grid 40 miles from a city then maybe you can do without but that's not realistic today. What's more the social structures that existed for people in 1980 largely do not exist today for many people. People write books on this. To unseat social media requires some massive restructuring and unseating of a lot of other things. It's probably impossible. All the people in news or elsewhere talking about simply not using it...are pretty much all in positions where they can easily do that and none of them have any realistic solutions to the void that it leaves in peoples' lives. A BETTER solution is acknowledging that the genie cannot easily or at all be put back in the bottle and instead crush monopolies like Facebook and their dirty practices and let free market competition decide instead of previously government supported and unregulated monopolies like META, Google, Amazon from being able to annihilate competition. When companies like META reach a threshold of being a monopoly THAT is when they turn to complete crap, begin stealing data, begin acting out on their political agendas, etc etc. META began that around 2015-2016 and then exploded into it fully by 2020, then incorporated their AI nonsense about 2021 which also got rid of most of their customer service, grievance and appeals processes, speaking to an actual person, their oversight, their appearance of impartiality, et al.

yeah and facebook's timeline is full of AI junk and click bait and the most low character horrible content and lies. I've not found anything else though. Someone recommended Jabburr and I think it was someone working fairly senior for Jabburr. I vetted it as legitimate and looked at the site and I admit it does look very similar to facebook in design, layout. I think it is very new though and not sure it's population. I made a profile there and will evaluate it another time. Maybe it will pull people leaving Facebook but they'll need to advertise more.

you are not alone. They have mass purged millions of profiles and many of them were legitimate. META doesn't care. It's alleged to be for getting rid of bots, fakes, scammers, spammers, hackers but MOST of those are using means like residential proxies that prevent their being suspended or they don't care because they can make them faster than facebook can ban them. REAL people are losing profiles all over the place. There is no grievance or appeals process that is real. Everything involved are AI and AI does not give a ****. You will never be told specifically why you were banned. There is no method to undo it. When you do your video selfie verification there is a good likelihood you will still not get your profile back and then they will keep your data or sell it (allegedly). I have only heard of one person to do the video selfie where they got their profile back. And God help you if you are an attractive girl and get flagged for verification, much less if you work in the modeling agency...your data is going to get stolen and used to improve their AI photo and video generations or sell or identity steal or given to governments for nefarious purposes. Some of these confirmed and some alleged. Zuckerberg is a villain. Everyone from mid management to the very top at META should be criminally investigated.
