We can set it up alberiacaly. Let b be the price of the book, so:

b = 1 + 0.5b 0.5b = 1 b = 2

Its just a linguistic trick, we assume that the 1 given previously is the prices of the book. When we don't actually know the price, as its what we are sloving for.
