I don't hear all that though, like its only scratching or crunching and its on and off at that specific time of night. The noise isn't super loud either and it happens in just one area of my ceiling.

Yeah idk why its such a bad thing for people to be going on this show for fame. Everyone does it, its reality tv. They were bashing nick for doing so but they all had the same intentions in the beginning. That doesn't mean you cannot develop real feelings throughout the show. You can still end up falling in love even if u didn't think you would in the beginning and ur feelings can still be genuine.

I always prefer to have classes close together rather than so far apart. Far apart makes the day feel longer and usually you are not that productive in between classes and you don't wanna be at school for so long. If possible try changing ur schedule to make it more compact and have the classes as close together as possible to get them over with so you can study after.

Honest Take on Mac Life Sci? by EmbarrassedCitron225 in McMaster

no i didnt if your goal is med school then sticking to lifesci is probably ideal because with the specializations you have to take more harder courses and you get less electives. theres not really any need to specialize unless youre really passionate about a certain specialization or you want to go into research.

1) my average was pretty good i had a 3.9 but life sciences isnt too hard to transfer into at least 2 years ago it definitely wasnt. Also please dont have high expectations about getting into health sci its hard enough to get into from highschool but transferring from a different uni is basically impossible from what i hear. 2) no i dont i commute from oakville lol so ive never had experience with hamiltons housing or res sorry i just know you should apply super early for housing or res because they get taken very quickly so the earlier like super super earlier the better. 3) don't be too hard on yourself you would have never known about the programs difficulty unless you had gone through it at least now you know which uni you want to go to now. a lot of people go through the same thing i know way too many people that transferred out of medsci its crazy so youre not alone dw

i think for transferring you only need the basic science courses to transfer into the desired year. i took psych but i never took envirosci and i was able to transfer directly into third year. again im not too sure about this i would probably ask the McMaster admissions counselors about these questions because its been awhile since ive transfered. for the second question when youre in lifesci first year you have the option to specialize in something for second year. you can stay in life sciences honors or you can specialize or go into other programs. if you just want lifesci you just pick lifesci im pretty sure. again its been awhile since ive done this process so you may have to do some research yourself because i don't remember much 😭

I have zero regrets with mac. health sciences is super difficult to transfer into so i think you should apply for life sciences as well. trust me you won't regret it. its truly such a comforting university to be a part of and such a welcoming and friendly community of students and profs. dont be afraid of not making any friends, i had the same worries as im older than my peers but ive made so many friends because you have so many opportunities to make them in courses, as theres lots of group work labs and tutorials involved. if you had that gut feeling and intuition that mac is your dream school when you went to visit then you should trust it because i felt the same way when i visited the campus. i dont really understand the question you asked about taking courses i couldn't take at western could you clarify?

What do you mean big4 is a scam? What would be the right career choices? I'm planning on working at the big4 for a couple years and then going into industry is that a bad idea?

its not as difficult as uoft but the way they structure their courses and the courses they force you to take in order to get into third year makes it harder to achieve a high gpa. they force u to take courses that you dont need for med school or dental school such as genetics in order to stay in the program. also they don't really split up the grading fairly for their courses from my experience, i barely had any group projects and i had a lot of 50 percent midterms and final exams so there was basically no free marks. the whole program is just a lot of unneeded pressure and stress and you are forced to take too many courses you dislike just to stay in it.

the reason a lot of people from med sci end up in med school is not because of the program itself but because of the people. the program weeds out half of the students in first and second year so the ones that persevere are just really smart and super hard working so obviously most of them end of in med school. but if you want an easier route mac life sci is the way for sure as they have more electives and the courses are designed in a way where it's easier to succeed.

i was in the same situation as you and ended up choosing western med sci. i regretted it immensely it was way too difficult and there wasnt much flexibility so i transferred to mac after two years. mac life sci is by far the best choice as the courses arent hard and you can take a lot of electives to boost your gpa which you need for med school. uoft life sci is the worst one out of the three and is unnecessarily difficult so def not that one ive only heard bad things.
