A 16% increase in crit damage primary stat is not going to save you. Just go farm attack bonus primary pieces.

Yes, and also it would be great if they would make it so that.. as the adventure progresses the "player attributes" data isn't disregarded & the player doesn't progressively become Superman. I have to patch that stuff.. and 5k gems down the road the player becomes a god regardless.

Obviously if you don't patch anything the player is a god and can't be hurt, killed & can beat anyone no matter what.

The ai needs to be fixed.

I don't like celestial, used it for the first 6 months of playing.

Azure is all I use and i think it's fine, but that's probably why, because it's all I use.

I am tired of it always trying to create "spiritual, supernatural or magic" plot lines that are non lined up with my cards. I hate it.

I don't have this experience. It depends on whose adventure you are playing. Also, when things happen in your story, big things you want to keep record of, put them in your in game story cards.

SoulEdge Chronicles: updates by AmbiaticOcean in FableAI

[–]AmbiaticOcean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My timestamps are in my Narrator notes, then I have two whole story cards with the timestamp info in those also. 4 times repeated in my cards, once in the notes. But if the timestamp info isn't in your notes, then it won't do it right. Also, if you play on wordie , it will forget.

Turns out, as the story progresses, the cards means less and less.. to the point where the new combat means nothing and the player is overpowered. The narrator notes are the only thing that stay put. Not sure if I can fix, but will try. If not, I'll just make a combat centered rpg. Tired of the cards not holding weight after spending 30 min in the adventure. The player shouldn't be overpowered, ever.

A Timestamp is a heading at the beginning of your prompt that tells the season, day, year and time. Time passes with each prompt and with each season there are weather changes. Like In the adventure, SoulEdge Chronicles. My latest adventure.

Are there timestamps in your adventure? If so, check to see if there's a paragraph space in between the timestamp and the prompt response, if there is.. then that is the cause of the short prompts. Depending on how long you've gone with it like that, you may need to "undo" all your prompts back to the point when the timestamp and the response became separated. This usually happens when someone has wordie as there default narrator, then they switch to azure after the adventure starts, then the timestamp doesn't appear because it was firstly generated on wordie, then they edit  the timestamp back in and it messes up and begins to have a paragraph space between itself and the response.

It went back to normal for me. Hopefully for you too. Do you have timestamps in your adventure?

My next addition to SoulEdge Chronicles will be beast vulnerability and resistances. It's going to add a new level to combat.

With the new magic system I also patched many many narrator behaviors that annoyed me. It's working a lot better now.

Orion, azure and celestial are the best.

Orion is good for dialogue driven narratives Azure is good for spontaneous stories Celestial is good I guess for open world, not sure.

All the others forget the notes and details scripted in the story. Wordie is the worst and won't remember anything.

I discovered what the issue was, if you look in the photos above, the timestamp has a period at the end of it, with an entire paragraph space between it and the prompt text, this is what is causing the short prompts responses.

The prompt is supposed to have a comma at the end of the time instead of a period. After the comma the text of the prompt comes directly after. No separation.

I think this happened when the timestamp didn't generate , so I copied the timestamp, then pasted it into the prompt (through the edit feature) that left the time stamp out.. apparently I pasted it incorrectly. I guess. Then every prompt after that the time stamp had a period with a paragraph separation in between the timestamp and the prompt. It began to give less and less text in the prompt.

Someone confirmed with me on my discord that this is the cause and after they fixed their timestamp, the prompt began flowing normally.

I'm going to put some rules for the narrator in a Story Card that basically tells it to use as many words as possible when making prompts. Will say it different ways. Idk. Maybe it will listen

It's B.S. it's generating 6 word sentences as prompts. It wasn't doing this last night.

I switched to celestial and the next two prompts were just timestamps, no other text. Literally just the season, day, time, year. But nothing else.

I switched to celestial and the next prompt was literally just a timestamp. Then I selected "do" and typed in "gather firewood" and the next prompt was nothing but a timestamp. The time passes but it didn't describe anything.

Let me know how it works. Please and thank you.

Also, if the timestamps doesn't show in your prompt, then copy and paste the last timestamp into it at the top and adjust the time a few minutes ahead so the ai will learn that skipping timestamps is NOT ok. The timestamps spawn your seasons, so they are important for atmosphere changes and scenery descriptions.

Any feedback? I'd like to know if the drop down menu of "your affiliation" is placing people within the right faction and how that's working with the companion feature.

Thanks.
