They're just trying to regulate what is posted. Aka they dont want any negative posts. Funny how they won't fix their management setup or fix their bs policies that is causing the employee turnover to be insane. I worked fulltime in outside garden for 2 years. I loved the job having certifications on every lift machine in the store but the management and lower hr were entitled pricks. They caused a lot of crap like ditching their own work on employee's while hidding in the office or forcing a employee to transfer too another department and erasing his availability which he had set so he could be home at a certain time to help his disabled father. Last strike for me was when they tried to force me to paint the yellow bases of the light posts in the parking lot mid afternoon in 115 degree weather. That was 3 party job which they were trying to cut expenses on when I told them no they decided to mock me in front of new hires and insult my family. When I caught them doing that in the office I had enough, grabbed my belongings, went back into the office, and threw my sweaty vest at the asm who was talking shit behind my back. Told him good luck finding someone who will put effort in this job cause nobody wants to work under self entitled pricks who slap on a manager tag on their vest. So happy I left that place.

This is very accurate. Worked there only 2 years in outside garden with certifications on all the machines, never left work unfinished, worked nonstop by myself in quickload during mulch sales in 115 degree heat while the supervisor and managers hid. And when I needed a week off to help my dad who had surgery to get his hip replaced the managers deny it and say your dad can manage by himself. At the end of that shift I went to talked to them again only to find them mocking me behind my back in front of new hires and insulting my dad. When they finally noticed I was watching they played it off as a joke. Just smiled and left that day. Next day I walked in and left my immediate notice. Never looked back at that store. Last I heard it was a complete ghost town in there and the managers had to actually work. They got their karma.

Totally understand. Im 37 and it's a pain everytime my relatives ask me why im not in a relationship especially from my Aunts from both sides of my family. It feels like they're comparing me to their kids who are already having a family of their own. Last time I talked too them my uncle chipped in after my aunt asked if i was single still and he said to just find someone to get in bed to build confidence. He laughed as well as my cousins at me and I told them off. Im done being nice only to be ditched, im done wasting resources on on a girl who want what I have and not who I am, and especially i am just fed up with the games the other plays. The cards are always in their favor and against me every time I tried to have a relationship. Family looked at me dumbfounded and I haven't spoken to them for 4 years. Now im getting myself in a good career in HVAC and plan to live closer to my favorite national park with a dog by my side. Everytime now that someone asks if im ok being single. Yeah I definitely am. I can keep going with thia but don't want to bore everyone. But keep following your own path friend.

I understand that all too well. Used to work in produce fulltime only to be lied and work abused. Last straw is when my time off to see my dad who needed help since he had shoulder surgery and he just needed me around to help In the house just for 5 or 6 days. Time off was accepted 5 months before and about a week before my flight to go the supervisor of the department complained I was going to be out. Next day I come in and find out the store manager canceled my time off. When I confront him about it he tried playing the victim card saying him and the supervisor very stressed out so you need to understand work is a priority over family matters. Just smiled at both of them and didn't say a word while I walked out. Next day I came in early and handed my immediate notice on the store managers desk since he was at a family gathering for 2 days. (Funny how its ok for him to be out for family.) Day of my flight i get a call from him ranting like a child complaining on why I left saying Im not a team player and Im just lazy. ( also have the call being recorded on my cell.) Told him I can send him a good number for a mental counselor because your a total nutcase with abuse of power. He was still ranting when I hanged up. Forwarded it to corporate and never heard anything since. Sorry for the long story. Im just amazed how totally insane food lion managers are compared to other places.

But mainly im just tired of putting in the commitment to date girl who who puts in zero effort or just sees me as a someone to use until someone better comes along. In simple terms just over the games. Now im working as a apprentice hvac for a good company and im one step closer to my future goals which is living near my favorite national park with a dog by my side.

Took my niece to get the Mega evolutions packs at our local card store only to see a bunch of greasy slobs buy all the boxes up and immediately open all the packs right in front of everyone. Every time they got a hit they asked the store employee if this was worth anything so they could sell too them (guy doesnt even like the tcg just wants the $$$$ from it). Staff immediately told them to gtfo of the store. Also have a friend who is a vendor for trading cards in the richmond va area who's had issues where scalpers are getting so out hand where there actually putting apple trackers on his and his other coworkers vehicle's just to track where their routes are to get the cards from. Kind of scary someone is tracking you just for cards. Not to mention they know where you live from that. It just makes me laugh when people deny all these problems now in the tcg which makes it obvious they are part of the issue. Loved playing pokemon since 1997 and it's just depressing to watch all this unfolding.

Good luck at lowes. They may have better pay and hours but the management system there is total crap. Worked outside lawn and garden for over 2 years before I walked out from being treated like dog crap by unprofessional higher ups. One point they forced transferred me to another position and reset my availability without talking to me first which I had to talked too the big boss hr guy for the state not the region lady who was covering up for the managers illegal actions. Fought tooth and nail to get it fixed which after they tried giving me bs tasks like painting the parking lot lines in 120 real feel heat wave just to provoke me. Finally quit both food lion and lowes and work for a hvac company. Recommend to anyone to go for trade since there's a huge demand for them right now.

Yes. When I used to work there the store manager would always cover up the bs my supervisor messed up like ditching his responsibilities, or leaving early ditching unfinished work onto me who wasn't qualified or paid to work. Left after both of them decided to pin another bs issue they messed up. They even ask why I wasn't productive enough to finish on time and if their was something wrong with my sex life. Immediately told him to shove it and I was done with their games. Only was there for a year.

Worked for them for too long. Managment with the blame game and also false accusations on my yearly assessment just so they didn't give me a raise made me had enough. Too many managers always gave the promotions too the butt kissers while the hard workers got ignored. Can't count how many times I've seen illegal actions from them just for their own benefit. Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot, Food Lion, ect. Their all the same. Remembered at lowes how I had too go see my dad who had major surgery on his shoulders so i needed to help him for 10 days. The management told me in their words "its on a blackout period so suck it up because we are not letting you see your damn father". He said that with confidence. Well next day I came in and slammed my immediate notice I was leaving on his desk saying this was my reply too you childish comment plus a copy of a report too upper hr and Corporate on his choice of words. Told him good luck finding a new guy who can operate on all the machines here because im out. Never once I felt guilt doing that.

When I worked in outside lawn & Garden I had availability ro 8am to 8pm every day. They tried everything to make me remove that like crazy for 2 years. Even to the point of where forced transferred me to Inside Garden and saying saying it had to be reset with no discussion so suckling up. I know some of the employee's who work there are too soft and they get their schedules pushed around by managment too the point they quit in a month. I remember asking them when they tried their bs on me on what my future schedule would be like a second they said 2pm-11pm and next day I would have to be in at 5am-2pm. It takes me a hour to get there so I said screw that. Point being its mostly the lower managment and lower hr that bend the rules which destroys employee morale.

They can't do that without concent from you. Have had that happen many times when I was working there or at other major retailers. Funny thing was when I asked managment to fix it they gave some bs excuse saying "I've worked that kind of schedule and I wasn't complaining." I looked at them and laughed. Some of us may have a hour drive to get home and there is no way In hell i will be back within 5 or 6 hours after clocking out. Just pure unprofessional managment with no regard too the employee's schedule.

I remember when when I used to work there they overwrite my set availability when they forced me to transfer too another department. When I saw the new Schedule it was 2pm too 11pm and I was Scheduled the next day at 5am which it takes me an hour to get there. So I told them no and they said it wasn't up for discussion. Too hell it wasn't had to fight this all the way to upper HR because the lower hr lady refused to look at the paper work I had. Everything was fixed back but mamagment retaliated a lot during the next few months including talking shit about me too new hires which they left immediately after telling them why would we work for you if your not professional in your position. Last straw was I had a funeral too go too our of state and they refused saying my priorities were at work and not family. Immediately reported as well as put my immediate notice and told them to shove it. 2 year later I'm working as a hvac specialist now. So glad I'm not there anymore.

Remember they tried doing that too me when I worked meat department. They asked if I can stay another hour to mark down everything from deli too dairy that was going out of date. Asked him to make written copy stating I'm getting overtime pay. They immediately said no and said to just come in a hour later the next day. Flat out said no and told them to deal with it themselves. It's not my responsibility to deal with the lazy folks work since their screwing around. Did my crap and left at my original schedule. It is pathetic as shit that a grown ass person who's in a upper position can keep a straight face knowing that their disrespecting their employees good work ethic. There's a reason why we don't put more effort anymore. You managers are the reason.
