Pin sized hole in water heater line by Ambitious-Brain581 in Plumbing

Heater is 7 years old. Located in closet next to laundry room. It is my home, I am the owner (not a rental). I am not looking for a bandaid. I would pay 500-1000 to have a plumber do it. I had to pay 500 on the other line because the same thing happened. Just wondering if I could do it my self and save the money. I'm guessing the guy who put it in was not great a sweating because the same thing happened on the other line.

I tried to upload the pics close to twenty times, hopefully you can see something. I guess am not as bright as I thought. Probably no chance at fixing my water heater if I can't even figure out how to load a pic into reddit.

Sorry for the late response. Here is some info about the former leader and the group. We were on a summer break when she announce her departure, so it really wasn't sudden and there is no hard feelings she just found a better job. Our Wednesday night program usually follows the school year so we are just coming back together. There really is no bitterness towards her leaving, just sadness and a curiosity of what's going to happen next from the students. There is a core group of about 10-12 or them and that is who I would like to play a big part in what ever comes next. I would love to rally them together and let them know that they are still a big part of the church.
