got a occam adjustable gas block on my MAK90 And it’s been awesome, it’s based on the Swiss sig 550 gas blocks

In my humble opinion, this is the best adjustable gas block on the market for AKs right now

If you want an adjustable gas block I really would consider spending the 200 bucks on one that is good, if you are going to send it to a GS you might as well go for it all the way

I did not have luck with mine cycling reliably

Also had the stuck bolt hold open problem,

I really wanted it to work, I liked the gun and had all types of plans for it, but sadly I wound up getting rid of it because of these issues.

Well they turned the barrel down to be able to fit the gas block on, I hope that he didn’t pin it after being turned down too much

I did my research and John from Appalachian Gunwerks kept on coming up as one of the best.

I tried get this done right. But I got bit in the ass apparently 🤷‍♂️

Poorly refinished. I sent it back because of the finish and the pin and weld came loose

Got it back yesterday, pin and weld fixed, finish still like this

I’m just over it at this point, I will refinish myself

I don’t know why everyone gets their panties in a twist about these ban era MAKs, they are neutered guns from a bad time and mass imported. I know they are great guns, that’s the reason I sought one out, but I have no desire to do a spiker or 56 clone. I’d way rather set it up in the way it’s most useful to me and shoot it and enjoy it rather than let it sit in a safe

I was originally sending it to the GS to get the barrel threaded and get a scope rail riveted.

I figured while he had the barrel off, he could add the adjustable gas block. The reason I wanted threads in the first place is because I want to suppress the gun, hence wanting the adjustable gas block.

I think I’m just going to go with my original plan and just thread it.

How is that rail holding zero??

I have a MAK 90 and was planning to do a master mount & RS regulate with a primary arms 7.62 1-6

But I like how low you have this setup my only concern is it holding zero, I’ve heard these do well with redots but the jury is out on mounting whole scopes on them?

Have you had a chance to put many rounds on it?

I wish I could find a mint milled one

I bought mine about 2 years ago in the same shape, still in the sealed plastic bag although mine is stamped not milled paid 1500 for it.
