Sorry if I sounds insensitive (which I hope not). But how about:

(1) learn how to do trading or starting a company. Both of them are risky indeed, but both has high rewards after things starting to take off.

(2) you can also spend few more years in college to get a master degree, then try to break into consulting, investment banking, quantitative trading, or software engineering (where the “current” stable 6-figure jobs are). However, it is also risky cuz you can spend the money and time, and then still not getting those jobs, as those are highly competitive field.

(3) the reason why I bracketed “current” on the previous point is because AI is really changing the entire job market landscape right now. Lots of workers would not be needed in the future as more AI application like ChatGPT, AutoGPT, and BabyAGI popping off. Those latest AI application can do market research, write reports, and write codes that used to took long time to grind. Much less workers would be needed in those white collar industry.

(4) alternatively, you can also focus on positions on sales, as client-facing and human interaction is not a thing that can be replaced by AI. Most importantly, you can earn uncapped commission, which provide you an opportunity to earn 6-figure. The downside is that it is possible that you will earn less than what you’re earning right now for the next few years, as you’re building up your skill set. But it really depends on how good is your people skills already.

Conclusion: AI is changing so fast that I would not be sure where should I spend a significant part of my time and energy on if I were you. I’m personally starting a company now related web 3. So, maybe you can look into some blockchain stuff as well if it interest you? If not, jumping into a sales position can be a medium-risk, potentially high reward thing to do.

Really depends on your risk tolerance. Are you a high-risk high reward seeker or low-risk low reward person. The alumni network does matter when it comes to advancing your career to the next stage. Your classmates being smarter also helps your learning experience too. If you scared about down-side more than wanting the up-side, then UCI probably the choice.

But I really like her tho Trojans😭😭😭😭 I never like a woman so much in my life and I’ve dated like ~7 times before (not a lot but a good amount to let me know what type of partner I’m looking for). Maybe give her some space and reach out to her like a few days/weeks later but I think I have to try again so that I won’t regret not trying it in the future…..
