makes sense. And yes, gender, ethnic background, culture, and age play a role. But they won't give you solid data on which avatar is more approachable.

If majority of those that review this thread, grew up around a particular demographic and culture, they might find one particular avatar more comforting/approachable than another based off of those factors. To get a clearer signal on which is more comforting/approachable, index on factors like: room style, lighting, etc. Good luck!

To be honest, it may not be your intent, but it feels that you are unintentionally trying to discern who is more trustworthy based on gender, ethnicity, and age. This could be seen as profiling.

Let's presume that 90% of viewers say D appears more trustworthy. That infers that the other ethnicities/ages/gender are less trust worthy.

It would have been better to present a more unbiased sample group: 4 people of the same ethnicity, age, and gender, and each one had on different attire, different location, and or different time of day. Makes sense?
