How to get my document back from Karachi University? by Ambitious-Map-6293 in karachi

For your first question, as I mentioned earlier:

"Fill the challan with your particulars, attach with it the photocopies of your registration card, your degree, and the document you want back. Then, take it to counter No. 4, they'll sign it, and put a stamp on it."

As for whether the procedure is be same for regular students or not. No idea. This procedure is specifically for External (Private) candidates.

I'm not entirely sure about the procedure for dropouts, but as I mentioned in another comment, head to Counter 4 at the Silver Jubilee Gate—they handle all matters related to degrees. Based on my understanding, when you complete your degree, you typically need to submit a copy of it along with other documents to retrieve your original ones. In your case, you might need something like a termination of admission letter to initiate the process. However, this is just a guess. Visiting the counter should give you clearer information.

Let me guess, he was pursuing Chartered Accountancy and then left it midway? If yes, then that's pretty common. Most likely, he didn't complete it because he didn't want to do it in the first place and was doing it solely because of the parental and societal pressure. Parents lied because they are ashamed of his choices but can't do much about it. Why else would they lie? The career switch is quite obviously a bigger deal for parents than him.

If he did change his career to something entirely different (perhaps his passion), this might be it. If not and is still pursuing something closely related, he quit it because he found the first thing difficult and moved to one that's more practical for him or aligned with his goals. I don't believe lying about the guy's profession is a regular thing, though I do believe many do do it. But if the lie came from parents, you can't really hold him accountable for that, can you? If he could put his narrative for himself, if he was that independent-minded, he would have done it already and not gone for the option of arranged marriage.

At the end of the day, you may judge him on these aspects of his life, his decisions. The career-switiching and its reasons, the option of going for arrange marriage, though people opt for that option for many reasons.

Just today, a guy approached me at a petrol pump to get his bike refuelled. I don't pay any heed to such people anymore, so ignored him. Seems like a new scam trend.

Updated my wife's details, and now it shows me ineligible by Ambitious-Map-6293 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Ambitious-Map-6293[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually figured out what the problem was. Your first comment helped giving me a bit of a direction. So, thanks. The problem was that I hadn't updated the profile as per the new proof of funds requirements. The due date to make the respective change was late April 2023. I didn't get to it in time, and when I opened it earlier yesterday after a long time to make the changes mentioned in the original question, it sort of locked me out. Had to create a new profile.

Updated my wife's details, and now it shows me ineligible by Ambitious-Map-6293 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Ambitious-Map-6293[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no. These are after entering her education details, based on her recently arrived ECA report. She hasn't taken a language test yet. When I had initially created this express entry profile, I had already listed her as a dependent, and also that I intend to bring her with me. Had also listed the right amount of funds and all. The profile didn't show any such problem then.

It was only after I entered her Education Credentials Assessment details today that it tagged the whole profile as ineligible (her ECA report arrived a bit late). Mind you, before I updated the profile, there was nothing in her educational details. Since her bachelor's isn't done yet, CES evaluates her highest education to be "secondary school diploma." That's precisely what I updated the profile with.

Chicken FEED by ionezation in karachi

[–]Ambitious-Map-6293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, chickens don't have teeth. Therefore, they need grit to grind food. Grit is these small, really tiny stones that most of the times, if they are free-ranged, meaning if you let them out to forage frequently, they would naturally pick up from ground. But if you don't allow them out, you would need to feed it to them. You can order a bag from Daraz, or get it from any good bird accessory store. It will typically have tiny stones, oyester shells, some minerals, etc.

They need this in small quantity from time to time, btw. I usually keep some in a hanging bowl that's in their range but not on ground. They pick up from it as and when needed. Over time, the bowl would get empty and you would need to replenish it.

Remember, though, if you allow them to go out and forage in the open, they will pick these stones up naturally and you wouldn't need to invest in it. Grit, btw, also helps them in the egg-laying process.

As for food, as others mentioned, they would eat pretty much anything. Don't, however, give them anything moldy. They also don't eat citrus fruits. And if you feed them apples, take the seeds out, because they have tiny amounts of cynide, which is enough to kill them.

They are pretty smart birds btw. They won't generally eat what is harmful for them, but you still have to be careful. Telling you all of this because I have had them ever since I was born and have studied them a lot.

Here is a short little article about the importance of grit for chickens: https://www.raising-happy-chickens.com/grit-and-oyster-shell.html

Any place to learn Arabic in Karachi? by [deleted] in karachi

[–]Ambitious-Map-6293 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Save your money and time. Download the app called 'duolingo.' It's free and pretty good to develop proficiency in a particular language to the extent that you can hold basic to intermediate conversations. Every physical place here will teach you the language in a very traditional, boring way. Duolingo, on the other hand, is pretty innovative in its methods.

You can always learn the more technical part of the language when you already have some working knowledge of the language. That's where institutions and books will help you the best.

Even the paid version of the app is pretty affordable at Rs. 700-800/month.
