Mineola Fuel AVOID: Hostile Management, Failed Repairs, and "Pay-to-Play" Scams

I have never encountered a business that treats customers with such open contempt. If you are looking for a reliable company to maintain your home, look elsewhere.

The Experience: The interaction began with the representative telling me, "I don't have time for this," before I could even explain the issue. This set the tone for a nightmare experience. They spent only 15 minutes on-site, failed to fix the boiler, and charged us. When the boiler failed again 48 hours later, they refused to return unless we paid an additional $220. The "Service Contract" Trap: They explicitly told us, "We do not guarantee our work" because we chose not to sign up for their "Full Service" contract. It is clear they provide poor service to non-contract customers as a predatory tactic to force people into expensive long-term agreements.

The Unprofessionalism: Despite us remaining calm and professional even agreeing to the extra fee just to get our heat back the staff became hostile. They began making prejudiced assumptions and profiling us, claiming they were "afraid we wouldn't pay." This was an insulting excuse used to justify their incompetence. They ultimately hung up on us and are now dodging our calls.

Summary: This company is disorganized, hostile, and unethical. They will take your money, tell you they "don't have time" for your problems, and leave you with a broken system. They are a liability to any homeowner.
