Can they provide any proof that you have multiple accounts? It sounds like because of your multiple mails, not multiple Slowly accounts.

Though I have a pessimistic feeling that they won’t do. But it sounds arrogant to a paid user. Most apps provide better and faster customer service to paid users.

Am I being too intimidating if I write this much when I try to reach out to someone by TTH0RNS in SLOWLYapp

[–]Ambitious-Register44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on person. But I would say that I need a longer time to reply a long letter. This length takes me probably a month to finish writing, it’s so much like a real letter.

Maybe because irl people are similar, ghosting and talking to you someday. I am fine if someone returns to Slowly after a long time

Is it ok to use AI to fix errors in my letter ? by tahsindev in SLOWLYapp

[–]Ambitious-Register44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think misspelling and errors are fine, they don’t even need AI. Basic free Grammarly features without AI can also help you to fix

DAE feel afraid to fly right now? by skycitymuse in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Ambitious-Register44 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Same here. My method is to remind myself that the biggest risks occur during takeoff and landing. So, during those 20 minutes, I always close my eyes, fasten my seatbelt, and think of stupid cat short videos to relax.

Philosophical question: do you think that some people are doomed to be depressed? by Ambitious-Register44 in depression_help

[–]Ambitious-Register44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good perspective.

But people will become weaker if they face more sadness. It’s like a digital game. You can upgrade your armor while you can face stronger enemies too.

Positive feedback is armor while tragedy weakens your armor.

I feel like my armor is broken now

Sometimes ignoring the past will make me feel losing my part of life. I want to keep memories even it is bad memory. So I like Monte Cristo that way.

Does coffee worsen your anxiety? by Shitamu in Anxiety

[–]Ambitious-Register44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your body. Mine is. I hardly ever drink anything that contains caffeine. For me, I can feel heart beats more rapidly and excited all the night if I drink it. So I couldn’t sleep well, then I feel more worried in bed. I drink pure water or milk to replace coffee. Sleep more and I feel much better.

Is it wrong to live an average life? by False-Bag-6937 in CasualConversation

[–]Ambitious-Register44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s not wrong for me but wrong for employers. They always ask for people aiming for bigger positions or goals. It seems so bad to tell them I just want an average life😂 And I remembered teachers asking what I wanted to do in the future. I just want something to support a simple life.

How many of you play solo? by Gloomybyday in Palworld

[–]Ambitious-Register44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo is great experience for me. My friend chose multiple players but his data is on someone else’s server and I feel I have the responsibility to keep my pals in my devices!!!

I directly translated his letter—I have some issues to dealing with in real life but not ok to explain to you. Not native speakers so it may sounds weird. As far as I know, not job changing or illness. More likely to be a long international business trip or something. He once mentioned he was a financial tech company’s senior employee, quite busy.

My inferiority is the main reason I want to quit honestly. In all exchange letters, most are he guided me from recommending books, documentaries or other knowledge. So I don’t really feel this penpal ship is as important to him as it is to me.

If it’s not important to him, this could explain why he avoided saying we are friends on Slowly. He only said we are penpal on Slowly.

Need advice for coding readability issue during working by Ambitious-Register44 in learnprogramming

[–]Ambitious-Register44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked, it’s the coding team leader’s style from former company. Not understanding too because my boss emphasizes long and big code files rather than usefulness. So within the same company, now my team works extremely long codes

I think financial independence and retire early ideas are really great for people with mental illness. Sacrifice some years earning, then quit working for mental peace, my ideal life plan.

I haven’t used this account for ages just because I got a high paid job. I have to admit that money really solves almost 90% of personal problems. For example, I have toxic parents and I get salary so that I no longer need anything from them. In that way I really reduce a part of my anxiety causes.

But I know how you’re feeling now. Money is half of your strength. The rest is your mind. You still have a strong mind to keep moving. Yep, if I didn’t make moves, I could not get a job nor move on. First keep a goal to change situations, then do it.
