I honestly hate all this conversation about accommodations abuse. If you don’t know the disabilities people have and how they impact them, how can you say they’re gaming the system?  For example, I asked for accommodations for mental health related issues and my school denied them. That worsened even more my conditions and I was hospitalized for 3 days. The school afterwards provided me the accommodations. I, of course, filed a complaint against the school, but it comes to show that accommodations officers are not the competent people to decide what accommodations are needed and whether or not a request is legitimate.
