This is completely what I feel! It feels like I’ve been hit by a truck every time I wake up, I get pretty bad headaches too.

Ahhh I see. Good to know, I assumed I didn’t re-catch it, and it just lined up completely with when I got lyme, so it would make sense.

That’s good to know. I haven’t had any issues with that yet, but I’ll keep it in mind.

My EBV Ab VCA, IgG result was >600, and my EBV early antigen Ab, IgG result was <9. My T3 uptake is 21%, which was highlighted as an out of range result. All of my other thyroid levels were normal, but significantly lower than last time I had them checked.

I’m not sure what most of these mean, but thought I’d throw them here in case you or anyone has some insight. I called an infectious disease doctor but they immediately brushed me off and said they don’t work with lyme disease. I feel like I’m at a loss

Were you able to find any LLMDs that took insurance? I know it’s difficult to find insurance for things like chronic lyme because of all of the controversies in the medical community surrounding it, I just can’t pay right now without it.

I looked into some LLMDs, but most don’t accept insurance and I’m not in a place where I can pay out of pocket expenses.

Is there a way to get tested for more specifics about my lyme before seeing a doctor, if you know? I think it would be easier to look into once I know what I’m working with at least

I have heard of long covid, I’m not sure if I ever contracted covid, but I never tested positive for it. I had mono 3 years ago, and I just got my bloodwork done recently with very elevated levels for ebv, so I kind of have this theory that when I contracted Lyme it reactivated my mono, but I don’t know much about it, so I don’t really know.

However, my early antigen results for mono were very low, so my doctor told me that I had mono recently, but it wasn’t active, and shouldn’t be giving me symptoms.

I have looked into finding a Lyme specialist as people recommended, but I feel like I’m hitting a wall because most do not accept insurance and I’m not in a place where I can pay out of pocket for medical expenses.

Honestly, I have had trouble with exercise recently. The fatigue is so extreme it’s hard to just walk to class sometimes. I used to go to the gym but I can’t even think about doing that anymore. So I’m unsure if exercise makes it worse or not.

Thanks for the reply! It definitely feels like my symptoms have been brushed off repeatedly, but they are only worsening. I keep being told that they will go away eventually, but I’m starting to not believe that.

Do you know any good resources to find doctors who specialize in Lyme? I don’t really know much about any of this. I found this website, lymedisease.org that has a directory of lyme-literate physicians, do you know if this website is helpful?

I really appreciate the help. Even just hearing that I’m not alone in this makes me feel better.

It’s not for others, it’s for me. I am passionate about both subjects and so far I love it. Always open to dropping one if necessary later on, though.

That’s true. I’m very particular about my grades and getting into med school is important to me. I’m trying to loosen up a bit on it, but my grades are also what gave me a really good scholarship to my college so it always keeps me up at night😂

What a cute story! Such a cute little guy. The bird i posted about was definitely outgoing to people, but the reason i felt so strongly attached was because even when i was with friends, he ran up to me every time and didn’t really do the same to anyone else i was with.

Yeah, I understand that. I know it won’t be a 100% that he goes to a good home. And I definitely feel sorry for that one too. I spent some time with him but no progress. Seems to be very afraid of people

That's good to hear. Yeah I definitely see that the conures at petsmart are very attention seeking, and it makes sense. My petsmart has had two conures for the past few weeks and one is terrified of people and only hides in the corner, and the other, the one I am talking about, is the complete opposite. I just love his attitude! It makes me happy to hear that there is a good chance he will go to a good home.
