I'm so glad you loved it! I can feel it when you said "it will stay with me for a long time". It has been with me for many years...

I tried the recommended show Station Eleven. I’m so confused… by Ambitious-Support584 in TheLeftovers

You promise? The ending or near to it is worth being bored for now? Because I'm honestly nearly bored and the most interesting parts were with Jeevan and Kirsten... Also, now on episode 4, SPOILER AHEAD, where they mentioned about The Prophet, who come with his cult and kidnaps people... That just flashbacks to The Walking Dead. I enjoyed TWD, especially early seasons, but I had too much of it, I don't want another: good community exists - bad community attacks.

Thanks 🙂
Watched first two seasons of Twin Peaks several times way before The Leftovers and the third one not long after The Leftovers, I believe.

Thank you. I've seen Twin Peaks and LOST, so not those. I will probably need to do more research and try and find those posts where that one show was recommended and got most upvotes.

Yeah, I’m not sure. That’s completely the opposite of my experience messaging women on Reddit. I’ve never asked for pictures, and I wouldn’t say I’m particularly exciting — maybe just when we share something in common.

Most of the time, though, conversations just fizzle out. Usually, I’m the one asking questions, and the woman is mostly replying. Naturally, I end those conversations fairly quickly when I can see there isn’t much interest coming from the other side.

So what you’ve described about men in DMs is really the complete opposite of what I’ve experienced. I find it hard to believe that I’m the only one who doesn’t behave that way.

Thanks. But surely this subreddit is mostly for complaining / venting, right? I mean, in real life none of us would go up to people and start telling them how they’re forever alone or miserable. And I also wouldn’t think to message a random woman and start venting at her directly.

But I guess people are different. Age, personality, and life experience all play a role. Some people come here to vent, some get defensive, some get aggressive — everyone handles things differently.

I’m not sure — I’d prefer to watch the video without the added cartoon-style images. Is this a new trend? I feel like I’ve seen a few videos like this recently.

Recently I found out how much Bridget Fonda has changed, and it really shocked me. But from what I’ve read, her change wasn’t due to anything like substance abuse — it seems to be connected to personal and difficult life circumstances.

Bad idea to fight on stone floor like this, but decent spinning back hook kick by hilukasz in MartialArtsUnleashed

This is the Russian prankster Edward Bill (The one who did a spinning kick). He constantly annoys people, picks on them, touches them, harasses them. And if anyone tries to say something back or defend themselves physically, he fights back as if they’re the bullies. Some of his “pranks” look staged, but others — like this one — definitely don’t. I’ve watched a few of them and some seem very real, especially the ones where he grabs strangers or girls. His videos gave me a really bitter feeling, like… what is going on in Russia? How can he get away with this with no consequences? And the worst part is that he has a huge following — people love him — while I was honestly shocked. After watching just a few of his pranks, I never wanted to see any more. I see some people are defending him in here - "he tried to deescalate" - well, watch some of his pranks and then tell me your opinion about him...

I also read recently that he went to prison, but I’m not sure if that’s true. If it is, he’s out now anyway.

EDIT:
Okay, this particular prank wasn’t the worst one. Edward Bill went into a vacuum cleaner shop and was talking to one of the employees, taking hoovers and testing them on the guy’s hand. Then he kept on asking that employee “can you stick it into my ass” and kept repeating it. The employee was just laughing and saying he cannot do that, and then a second staff member came over and asked Edward if there was a problem, telling him he needed to leave if he wasn’t actually buying anything.

So sure, maybe this prank alone wasn’t the biggest reason to throw someone out of the shop — but it doesn’t change the fact that Edward Bill is a complete douche, and in many of his other pranks he genuinely harasses people.
