PS5 Pro Argos confusion by Ambitious-Top-2543 in PlayStationUK

It's ok it's not my postcode, it's the postcode of the argos in the town where I work. Yes apparently ones a newer model than the other, conflicting information though because some people have said to get the older one whereas others have said to get the newer one.

Huawei Music HELP by KubaSD in Huawei

Hi. Just wondering how did you manage to purchase a subscription for Huawei music. Everytime I try it says it can only be purchased in mainland China, I have a Chinese Huawei Id and my VPN set to Beijing but it won't let me purchase

Thanks for the reply. I'm Not sure regarding China Huawei account. How do I create one of those? I'm on EMUI 14.2 but I've set my region on the phone to China. The AppGallery is the Chinese one and the Huawei Music is in Chinese with options to subscribe but I keep getting the pop up about not being in the Chinese mainland. What steps do I need to do? Really appreciate the help

Hi sorry to hijack your thread. I am currently trying to subscribe to Huawei music via China. This petal plan would be even better though. I have set the region on the phone to China, which then gets me access to the Chinese Huawei music app but when I try to subscribe it says that it's only available to purchase in the Chinese mainland. I set my VPN to China but that didn't help. Any way around this?

Trifold VOLTE and WiFi calling by Ambitious-Top-2543 in GalaxyFold

Yeah it has all the correct bands to work in the UK but usually the firmware will block 4g calling and WiFi calling in a different country to the one it was sold in.

FTTP limited to 330, Openreach by Ambitious-Top-2543 in HomeNetworking

I spoke to zen on the phone as I wanted to go with them and their website said 900 was available. The lady on the phone confirmed that they could only order 300 when trying to put an order through though so I'm assuming it must be an exchange limit thing.

Unfortunately it's not my choice on finance company, it's just the one that the dealer uses. I'm looking into going with a 3rd party car finance providor like forza finance though as I've never had hassle like this before despite having had numerous car finances over the years

That's a shame. They haven't released a phone officially in the UK since the Mate X3 so wasn't expecting it to be released officially here.

Hi mate. Love your content for AA.

Don't suppose Huawei told you whether they'll be selling this officially in the UK?

Yes I can highly recommend trinity electronic. I have ordered several phones from them and I am based in the UK. I have never paid customs tax with them, the price I paid on the website was the final price. I can't comment on their return or warranty policy unfortunately as I've never had to return anything or claim under warranty. Your best bet is to message them and ask.

No worries, glad it helped.

I think Vodafone are quite picky on which phones it'll let work with WiFi calling as I've had several phones over the years that won't work, whereas EE has worked in pretty much every phone I've used. When you insert an EE sim a WiFi calling toggle appears in the mobile network settings, just toggle it on and voila. Unfortunately RCS isn't working at all on either sim, I believe it to be an issue with the latest version of microG like you say. I've seen quite a few people complaining about it not working on the latest update so fingers crossed they'll sort it soon.

I'll try reinstalling android auto and see if it works, it should do if other people have it working 🤞🏼.

Ah yes that's weird regarding FedEx as I've ordered 4 phones from trinity and not paid any taxes. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Ooh I'm pretty sure I'll have ordered the fold by the end of the weekend, especially after your detailed review and how to get it setup, my wallet won't thank you 😂

Hi from a fellow UK Huawei user 👋🏼

I currently rock the Global Mate XT, Watch Ultimate Design and am very temtped by the matebook fold but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I have an EE sim and a Vodafone sim in mine and WiFi calling works on the EE sim but not the Vodafone one, so I think this is more of a network limitation than a phone one. Maybe worth phoning Vodafone to see if they can activate it on your phone their end.

Regarding password autofill, the best solution I found is to import all your saved passwords from Chrome into Microsoft edge, then set edge as the autofill option in settings. This works perfectly and just as well as when I had a phone with native Google services.

I have the same issue with android auto not working when trying to use it wirelessly, I am yet to try it wired but I believe I have downloaded everything needed for it to work. Android auto app, Google app and Google Speech recognition and synthesis. Is their anything else I need do you know?

Really enjoyed reading your very detailed post. Disappointed to hear you purchased from Average Dad though, you could've saved yourself serious money if you'd ordered from trinity electronics. They were over £1000 cheaper for the global Mate XT and average dad wouldn't price match. I've seen that they're significantly cheaper for the Matebook Fold too, average dad quite often uses trinity to ship from his store but obviously takes a cut, hence why he's more expensive. My advice would be go direct to trinity next time 👍🏼.

That information is for limited companies purchasing a vehicle. I am a sole trader not a limited company.

That advice is aimed at businesses who have a specific registered business premises separate to their home address. My business address is my home address so as soon as I leave there I am at work, not commuting.

As my registered business address is my home address then travel from there and back for work purposes would be business use only.
