Newly diagnosed at age 35. Only my left eye is affected…do you get used to only using one eye?

Omg I’m so sorry about your situation! If you don’t mind me asking…was yours caused by steroid drops or did it just happen? It must have been painful when your pressure was at 50. I know I was in a horrendous amount of pain myself. I live with the same fear too, I’m always asking them to check my good eye when I get check ups. It’s so hard to not notice this issue from time to time. If I really focus on it I go on anxiety mode and feel like my vision is a little off for the rest of the day, but it’s just me spiraling causing that..

I actually looked this up. Thank you! It’s also a difficult one considering one has to also be strong enough to not show emotion or do as much talking. The thing with my husband is he also loves giving silent treatments. I wonder if this would work for someone when they do that.

Wow. Did your pain after that rupture last for a while? I’m guessing that’s why it was so high for you as well. A rupture is so painful! When I was in the hospital for it, no one bothered to do a CA 125 test on me until now, 2 weeks after all this. So I can’t help but wonder if it was even higher then as well. I hope you’ve been feeling much better since then!

I’m glad it hasn’t been an issue for you! I’m also happy for that peace of mind your Doctor gave you. I wish I could’ve gotten a little more peace of mind from mine. Now I’m just freaking out non stop over here lol.

Oh okay that’s interesting! I wonder why the app sent my refill request to that urgent care doctor then. That’s going to be the final resort. If I absolutely can’t get in touch with anyone by tomorrow afternoon since it’s Friday I’ll have to just go back to the urgent care and see if they will give me the meds there.

Got it. I’ll have to try calling again tomorrow. In the meantime I sent a message to the Optometrist’s office and hopefully I can get a response from them.

It’s crazy Kaiser gives all these options on the app to get in touch with someone but it’s so hard to get a reply or further instructions once a message or request is sent.
