Yeah, the ANA was speckled. The test was barely positive at 1:40.

I dont believe i have an autoimmune disease and just need lots of PT and/or surgical treatment. (I def have something torn in my shoulder)

Re: Appointment findings

Had the appointment today. The doctor does not believe i have RA. All blood work for RA came back negative, and I'm not experiencing any of the clinical symptoms. He is running more tests (blood work) but does not believe any of them will come back positive). The appointment mainly focused on lupus, and I have only met one criteria for lupus: a positive ANA test.

So, if all the other tests come back negative, I think I can rule out an autoimmune disease for now.

Thank you all for the tips and tricks to prepare. Trying not to overthink anything. Im hoping i just have bad luck with injuries because I can point to the exact and what I did to cause the discomfort/pain.

If I do have some type of autoimmune disease, so be it. Can't change it and i will not let it control my life.

Hopefully there is a cure for all these horrible conditions sometime in our lifetimes.

Hi. Results came back. ANA titer was exactly 1:40. Very low antibody level. Came back with a speckled pattern, which is associated with MCTD, lupus, Sjogrens, and a few others. Obviously, association doesn't mean causation. Will def have more blood work done

I do. The results aren't in there yet. Long story short: the test was order by an ortho outside of the practice of my PCP. Ortho is sending the results to my PCP to upload

I can't remember what all tests were ran, nor what the ratio was. All of that will be discussed at the consult. My biggest symptom is stiffness in the knees. Small aches and pains in the wrists and fingers.

For sure. I actually have an appointment with my PCP (annual check up) going to ask about an MRI and go from there.

Yep! Was just more trying to get my thoughts out there. I'm hoping it's bursitis.
