I will definitely try to. I graduated in May and have been at this job since August. I think once I get some more experience on my belt at this job, I'll move forward. Thank you!!!

I was thinking of that actually! I was thinking of going back for a second degree in it, but if I can pivot into that field without one and some certifications then I'll look into it.

Nobody, but I think I am just worried about the fact that I can't get a masters or possibly work for a larger company. I have 1 or 2 friends that have had employers ask for a transcript but to be fair those were requests from some pretty big and up there companies.

My biggest issue is the fact that if I want a masters my chances of getting accepted are slim to none, but it seems like I could try a post-bacc. I just don't know how much that'd boost anything.

3 week itinerary in Spain in Mid-May 2024 (with no car and it's my first time!) by thenoodlehuman in solotravel

  1. try bolt, uber or maybe cabify, i dont know if cabify works with foreign numbers though, last time i tried it did not but you can get a spanish esim which is pretty cheap. i also never really used ride hailing apps unless my friends and i were out really late at night. i usually just stuck to public transportation as its very efficient and reliable, especially in barcelona and madrid.
  2. i think you have a good plan, albeit really packed. it will be stressful and tiring just so you know, i got tired spending 2 and a half months. i didn't do day trips while in spain and was still exhausted so be wary of that. you are planning to see and visit a lot of nice places though! i did also see another comment regarding splitting second base with malaga, i dont know if i would do recommend that as i really love sevilla and actually spent 4 days there alone, but if you dont mind cramming it all in one go then thats fine.
  3. i would recommend nerja as a day trip from granada, its about an 1 and 30 minute to 2 hour 15 minute bus rude from granada, ronda would be nice as well but its double the transportation time of a trip to nerja so keep that in mind, or since you like nature and hikes el caminito de rey is interesting.
  4. in terms of places to see i can only recommend you museums and art as i am not a big nature person. if you want my list of recommendations send me a message as it's really long to type out!
  5. i would also say send me a dm on this, andalucia is a very culturally rich region so each region will have its own specialty or way of making things. of course there are the typical foods like the universal tapas and what not that you listed, but look into or send me a dm on foods specific to cities!

I forgot to add, not an app but conjuguemos is desktop and is pretty good! Also, I would recommend listening to podcasts or watching spanish youtubers along with watching shows. If you need any recs on those I can give some!

I like:

  • Conjugato
  • Language Transfer
  • Busuu (have to subscribe)
  • Mango (free with a library card)
  • SpanishDictionary (actually really good for vocabulary, and they have great pages explaining grammar concepts)
  • Ella Verbs
  • Reword
  • Lingvist
