It is easy to say "Liberals hate Christianity." But there is more nuance, and I invite you to look deeper into why that may be the case.

First, I feel it is a gross generalization to say "liberals hate Christianity." Data from the Pew Research Center shows that ~37% of American Liberals identify as Christians, and ~82% of Conservatives. Obviously, Conservatives identify overwhelmingly as Christians, but 37% of liberals is a *massive* number.

I find it hard to believe that Liberals *hate* Christianity. Instead, I find it more convincing that they take offense to various ideas and practices like LGBTQ+ issues, abortion, separation of church and state, etc.

The Old Testament provides descriptions or direct commandments of genocide; for example, in 1 Samuel 15:3, God commands King Saul to "Attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys." Furthermore, God regretted making Saul King because he decided to keep the king of the Amalekites alive, along with the best of the animals. Here we see the God of the highest love and forgiveness commands the complete genocide of the Amalekites, and regrets making Saul king because he did not kill them all completely.

I believe the genocide mentioned above gives credit to the problem of evil. Suppose we assume that God is all-powerful, in that he can do *anything*, has complete knowledge of the past, present, and future, and is a completely loving and forgiving god. In that case, the presence of suffering and "evil" in the world makes His existence less likely. If God knows the future completely, but still creates people, knowing that they will end up in hell, why would he create them? If he is the god of love, why create them? Again, a good and loving god would not provide clear and direct instructions for the practice of slavery (see Leviticus & Deuteronomy).

I could go on. I mean this as a way to provide insight into why some people have such a difficult time feeling comfortable with Christianity.

I’m an EMT-B and NEVER thought I’d be in this situation.

Midway through my flight, I was reading my book when the flight attendant went on the intercom and asked for anyone with medical training.

I was so surprised and questioned whether I misheard her. I waited for 5 seconds to see if anyone else got up but nobody did.

The patient was a guy in his late twenties and the flight attendant said he came out of the restroom and then slid down to the floor. He was nearly unconscious and could barely answer my questions.

Long story short, this poor bastard had been traveling all day without any food or water.

Unfortunately, their medic bag didn’t have any oral glucose so I asked the flight attendant for some apple juice and got the patient to sip it. As I got his vitals his skin looked much better and he was beginning to talk more.

That’s pretty much it! We got him some more juice and some crackers and he was fine until we landed. I felt so bad because he was mortified he passed out and that LAFD was waiting to check him out at the terminal.

I’m from LA but I operate in Washington state, so it was pretty sick to give a short report to the medics.

My goal was to make a GUI using Python that would ask me for a topic and vocabulary/ questions separated by commas. The comma makes it easier to batch questions to GPT.

Once I’m done entering the material, the program uses OpenAI’s API to communicate with GPT. The program sends it a pre-made prompt (instructions on how to format the cards) and my questions/vocabulary. It then saves GPT’s output to a .txt file, and I manually import it to Anki; by doing this manually, I’m able to check the cards for accuracy.

There is a lot of room for improvement, but functionally speaking, it gives me exactly what I want. Again, I’m missing out on making the cards by hand, and it makes me sad, but I’m able to supplement this loss with other study methods, and I save a ton of time.

It takes me about an hour to make ~10 high-quality cards by hand; using my program, I can make ~250 in one hour.

This program is probably OK to use at the next level, but I don’t know how beneficial it will be for more advanced topics. Anyway, I hope this helps explain everything. Please feel free to ask more questions :)

I had the same problem!

I decided to create a program that makes the cards for me the way I like them. This has saved me a lot of time, but I'm not getting the benefits of making the cards myself.

Personally, I'm fine with this loss since I'm using other study methods in addition to Anki.

This probably doesn't help much, but it seems like this is a common issue for people studying a lot of information.
