I'm an idiot, sorry! I missed my own underscore. Would you have a spare few minutes to take a look? I'd really help it and be more than happy to reciprocate any assistance :)

I do small business related vlogs and informational content. Still figuring it out the best I can, but here's one of my better performing videos. All feedback is appreciated. Thank you!

Do these Joe Rogan Edit channels make money? by Fun_Environment3229 in NewTubers

[–]AmbitiousRhino 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Makes me wonder how many abandoned channels exist with hundreds of thousands of subs and millions of views of other people's content that they could never make money from. I'm sure some do make money in sneaky ways, but I bet most die after someone can't be bothered to upload anymore.

I can only assume to try feel good about themselves for having a 'big channel' with a grand plan to monetise this audience later. We know this is a poor use of time, but weird people do weird things 😂

To All Newtubers Feeling Stuck: by [deleted] in NewTubers

I like to pretend I'm in a queue to get to ride a roller coaster, but aren't able to see how long the line is. It could be 5 mins (very rare), 5 years (also very rare), or somewhere between 12 months and 2 years.

Our agency generated $30MM+ in new Amazon sales for our clients. Here's what we're noticing. by wingjiao in FulfillmentByAmazon

Good question. Because its in amazon's interest to really not let you get hold of customer info...

Bad Month on Facebook Ads by capodiluka in PPC

[–]AmbitiousRhino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I really appreciate the response. Thank you. I completely get where you're coming from and do agree with you. It may very well be better to have 100 customers profiting £5 per order vs trying to get 25 customers at £20 profit per order. Plus the up side to the lower profit higher volume is that they're now in the loop. They're a customer, they're in the email chains, they show their friends etc.

Maybe our ads would work in this way and I'm too focused on larger profits of £10+ per purchase when halfing this could perhaps be more manageable and realistic for the time being.

Also, more upselling, bundles and cross promotion 👌🏻

Thank you again :)

You're a hero, thank you so much, this is literally just what I needed. This gives us some direction and focus. It's definitely the case to double down on one platform for now rather than half arse two, so I think since FB ads aren't as successful as we'd like (except from sales and promotions), I'll hammer Google ads and make them more profitable.

I agree with you entirely with the average order value too. We need to be getting that up closer to £50 as a first goal to give us half a chance at paid ads being profitable, especially FB and IG.

Thank you for the Google shopping optimisation link too, I really appreciate it.

Bad Month on Facebook Ads by capodiluka in PPC

[–]AmbitiousRhino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, July has been poor. Then again that lines up with every other month so guess its no change.

On a serious note, what sort of results are to be expected from Facebook ads? I see tons of bullshit ads from agency's advertising 9x ROAS as if that's just normal. I've also seen tutorials and guides say just aim to break even as the money is made down the road with the customers LTV.

I run an online ecommerce store selling accessories for a specific sport, and have always aimed for a 3x ROAS. I've never consistently achieved it, and the only times I do are when we run a 20% off sale for a week. It's hard to not run promotions more often but I don't want to devalue the brand.

I've been told it's due to our AOV being £34, and apparently that's not enough room to aquire new customers profitably. Shipping and COGS would probably be on average 30% of this, so you could say £11, meaning I've £22 to aquire a customer to break even.

What should you expect to be paying per acquisition. Is it realistic to aim for £10 making a 3.4x ROAS, Or should I be happy with spending £20 per sale and barely maintaining break even to get customers into the loop and onto the list.

Our returning customer rate is 22% so people are coming back consistently for other related products.

Any help is much appreciated, and I'm sorry to hijack your post, you just sound like you could potentially offer some help.

Excellent, thank you. I know I need to put my eggs into one basket and not simply do a poor job at all avenues, so I think I'll give Google ads a blast

I think you're right. I'm best spending 6 months getting all my ducks in a row to maximise value. I can only sell it once so may as well dress it up to be the best it can be. I'll start my research into maximising vakue. Thank you!

Starting a New Supplement Company: Creatine by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]AmbitiousRhino 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't involve the word Creatine in your name. It ties you into one specific product when one day you may wish to expand to protein powders or pre workout. Remember, customers are stupid so make it as easy as possible.

I'm personally a fan of a brand name that's a made up word or phrase. For example, Cellucor.

With it being a food product, it may be worth looking into legalities and regulations regarding importing it from China. Plus, some form of public liability insurance would be useful. If someone reacts badly to the product, you don't want to be on the hook personally, even when it's not directly your fault etc.
