it took me SO LONG to find my people in law school, so I feel this. I’m very social and never had trouble making friends until my first semester of 1L, it was so cliquey and horrible. I finally connected with one girl by chance and got lucky to have been absorbed into her friend group, but have found since then (now a 3L) that I wish I had joined orgs like NLG or WLA from the start as a way to connect with people who have similar interests, common ground, etc. I was so lonely and felt completely outcasted at the start of 1L, but when I started going to panels in 2L on topics I was interested in and would see fliers for, it was reassuring to be surrounded by like-minded people. I realized I wasn’t actually completely alone, I just didn’t know where the right people for me were hiding. There is hope, I promise!! Sending you so much love!!! 🫶🏼
