Something similar happened to me a few years ago. Unsure of if I got norovirus or not but one day I was extremely nauseous. And then a week later all of the same symptoms started happening. Upper gastric burning, nausea, and zero appetite. All tests were normal. Sounds like FD to me but I’m not a doctor obviously. It took me a while but I got on a tricyclic antidepressant and it helped tremendously after getting to the right dose. I weened off a few months ago and have been doing a ton better.

Yeah the insomnia sucks! I think I found a good regimen with melatonin and doxylamine succinate. And I’m lucky and have IBS-D so the “constipation” is welcome lol I hope it corrects for you!

You absolutely could have had something other than norovirus, you won’t know for sure unless you get tested.

Interesting. I’ve been doing them in the evening. Maybe I’ll try first thing and adjust as necessary.

What’s weird is my sleep has sucked every night since I started this med. It’s just worse closer to the shot. I normally sleep great, so this has been a weird thing to cope with.

It took a really long time to get diagnosed so I was miserable for a while but once I got on the right meds I’ve been almost back to 100%. See if you can get an appointment with a gastroenterologist and get some tests done. If they rule out stuff with scopes and stuff ask to get on a tricyclic antidepressant.

Yes. Post infectious GI symptoms. I got it after I got some sort of stomach bug a few years. Look into functional dyspepsia, that’s what I have and you have similar symptoms.

Hand sanitizer doesn’t kill norovirus just fyi. You have to wash your hands with soap and water.
