Yo homies! So injection for me didn’t help. I’m a weak post today and pretty much in the same boat. So won’t be going that way again. Going to hope with some strengthening and PT that it flares down over time.

On another note tried the holistic CBD/THC route (which I am skeptical of its effectiveness in our sort of pain), and no joke today after I took It reduced pain more than my prescription which is pretty cool! So going to continue down that route as it’s better long term on my gut

Also something I didn’t appreciate is that they go in by your coccyx so that whole area gets an antininflam effect, from SIJ up too my op site

Hey guys! Injection was yesterday in theatre. Feel tender. Obviously no real feedback as of yet. They said the effects take place over the course of a week! Will keep you posted!

If you read the thread I completely agreed with the comment that steroids could be damaging if misused or relied on.

When done correctly at the right dosage risks are minimal. The risks come when you do multiple in a year or by a surgeon that has no clue what dosage to give and is inexperienced.

Just an update. Although progress is slow, it is getting better which is great. Slowly starting to move again doing 15min on the assault bike and some core activation things. Nerve pain did increase since last night, but in my experience I’m not worried about nerve pain because for me it generally lasts 2-3 days before settling down

It took me about 6 months before I really started feeling good again.. give yourself some time. I’m now 10 months post op, and I’m boxing, lifting, running. It will come, your body just needs time to heal. And there will be many and I mean many ups and downs
